It’s a lovely place for what it is
The Briarcliff MotelThis isn’t the Ritz, it doesn’t pretend to be, but for a trip with your pup in the Berkshires, this is hard to beat. Walking distance from Monument Mountain, and close enough to everything- less than an hour to Greylock’s summit. Will be back for sure.
My go-to spot in the Berkshires
The Black Swan Lee - Lenox Ascend Hotel CollectionI've stayed here twice, deluxe king rooms both times (because that's what my dog deserves) - even during the off season the views of the lake are spectacular, and the options for hiking day trips are endless - come back and unwind with a terrific shower. The prices are reasonable too, especially for what you get.
Completely acceptable accomodations
Best Western Plus Berkshire Hills Inn & SuitesI've learned when traveling with a giant dog, you're not going to get the Ritz Carlton. The place was completely adequate place to rest, however the facilities have lacked some pretty basic upkeep (including pickup the trash outside, nobody likes litter) and maybe the pried screen window isn't a great look re: feeling secure either. The bed was fine, the shower was fine, the in-room freezer sucked, and the temperature controls annoyed me -but- my dog was with me and we had an awesome weekend, I'm grateful you acccepted him.
