Ocean Lakes Family Campground

Ocean Lakes Family Campground allows four pets of any size for no additional fees. Pets are permitted at all campsites, however, they are not permitted in our rental units. There is a lot for everyone in your family to do at Ocean Lakes - no matter the age, two-legged or four! With nearly a mile of oceanfront, pets love a walk on the beach. Join our pet parades and costume contests in October and July. Take your pet fishing by one of our lakes (doggie doo stations nearby for easy clean up), or enjoy a ride in an electric golf car. Please stop by one of our offices for a Pet Welcome Kit - including a tasty treat - part of our iCare Program 'Awareness & Action Count.' iCare is helping to educate our guests about 'pet pollution,' a problem impacting storm water drainage in our area. Please visit our site for Pet Policies and Beach Laws located under the 'About Us' tab.
Or, browse all pet friendly hotels in Myrtle Beach if you’re still looking.

Ocean Lakes features 859 campsites and 2,567 annual lease sites on 310 oceanfront acres with nearly one mile of beachfront, five bathhouses, and more than 500 employees in the height of the camping season. It is the largest campground on the east coast and one of the largest in the United States.

    No dog park

This place is enormous and has every amenity you can imagine - with the exception of a fenced in dog park. Maybe the could take out the cornhole court so that visitors with dogs can have just one place to take them off leash to spend some pent up energy.

I have been going to Ocean Lakes for years with 2 German shepherds. The worker there love our dogs. We felt very happy and welcomed.

    Breed discrimination at ocean lakes

In their policy, they will deny entrance to any ‘pit bull’ Rottweiler or dangerous breed or exotic animal. Who the hell are they to determine ANYTHING!!?? I’m currently here with my PIT BULL and so is the neighbor house with their PIT BULL. Ocean lakes can shove it high and hard.

    Awesome time!

We and our fur babies had a great time here playing on the beach!
