    Great Experience!

Our dog, Chewie, loved her stay here. So did we. The dog park was great and the amenities for the dogs were awesome. We loved how close the B&B was to town and the battlefields. Every morning breakfast was provided and it was delicious! I really enjoyed the programs each morning as well. Best was the demonstration with a musket with Steve Gunlock. We want to come back and this will be our first pick of a place to stay. highly recommend!

    Beautiful B&B

We stayed for the second time and love it, our Maltese was treated so well also. We stayed in Anna's Garden Room this year which was huge and beautiful. My husband liked the history talk in the morning. I loved the beautifully presented breakfast which was as good as it looked. Hoping to go back again next year!

Just stayed for our third trip and still a really beautiful first class accommodation. Highly recommend.
We just stayed for our fourth time, everyone is so accommodating, it is always a pleasure it stay here. They are so kind to our dog. Rooms are perfect and breakfast as usual was superb. Love everything about this place.

Cannot say enough about this great gem

My wife, our dog Ivy and I stayed here the first week on May 2022 and were so impressed we have already booked for the same week next year. The accommodations were great. The staff was wonderful and the setting fantastic. From changing rooms so we were on the ground floor to accounting our pre-breakfast departure the staff were absolutely astounding!

    Great Place with your Pup!

Just before we arrived they added a new fenced in dog park area for them to run off-leash, and our dog loved meeting other dogs there. We stayed in the Swan Cottage and the staff were super pet friendly, and our goldendoodle got tons of pets from staff and guests alike. They had an extra towel and blanket and treats in our room when we arrived. Great B&B and excellent with dogs!

    Highly recommended

Our stay at Battlefield Bed & Breakfast was fantastic! Dogs are welcome all over the property and they have a fenced area for play if you are interested. The morning history program was an excellent bonus. The breakfast was filling and delicious. They are very conveniently located near the battlefield. I highly recommend with no hesitation.

A Gettysburg and Emmitsburg Must Stay!

The folks at the Battlefield B&B could not be more gracious and accommodating of the canine guests and their families. Their location is also perfect for visiting Historic Gettysburg, PA and the Shrines of Emmitsburg, MD.

    Beautiful and Super Dog Friendly!

My husband and dog, Kingston, stayed in the barn. It was fantastic! The horses were just outside our patio and we had so much privacy that I wasn’t worried if our dog barked a bit. Some places say dog friendly but you feel out of place with a dog but not here. They go above and beyond for your pup, even providing them with towels and blankets and treats. Breakfast and morning history lesson was amazing and all of the staff were beyond accommodating. Absolutely would recommend to anyone! (And if you happen to go during the pandemic they have tons of precautions in place but you still manage to enjoy and not feel isolated) PERFECT OVERALL!

    Beautiful and very dog friendly

The grounds were so beautiful. And super dog friendly. My dog has a bit of separation anxiety and Craig was so nice to listen out for her and would go in a take her out of her crate and entertain her is needed, It make me feel at ease leaving her there for a while. Wonderful grounds to walk your dog around. Besides all that, the breakfast was delicious and I would recommend waking up a bit earlier for the history talk.

    Romantic and Beautiful

Had a great stay. The staff is not just friendly but knows the history and obviously loves working here. The rooms are beautiful and the grounds are just as lovely. The dogs are welcome everywhere, and they were as relaxed as we were. We stayed in Houghtelin's Hideaway and it was great to have access to the gardens. If we're ever back in Gettysburg, we'll be staying again.

    Perfect Dog-Friendly Home Base

This is not just one of the best dog-friendly B&Bs we've stayed at, but is one of the best B&Bs overall. Super friendly staff. The grounds were beautiful, as was the house. And add on top how dog-accommodating they were! Our room was nicer than in the website photos - just know that the walls are thin and it can be a bit noisy with dogs barking at night. Take advantage of the civil war lectures in the morning. We stayed 3 nights and each day was a different presentation - very educational and interesting. Breakfasts were AMAZING (and so were the afternoon cookies). There is one battlefield location within walking distance (you walk on the road for about 20ft); all other sites you need to drive to, but everything is within 10 minutes.

    Great Experience

My husband and I took our scotties on vacation, one of the older ones has cancer and it was his "special" trip. Most of our vacation was budget, but I decided to splurge for one night! We got The Tack Room, under the barn. Travelling with dogs, I wanted to be in an area that was easy access, and away from the main B&B (also did not want to pay a pet fee). Being right under the barn, my scotties were able to get up close and personal with the horses. It was a great experience for them. The room was gorgeous, however the air conditioned struggled to keep up with the crazy high temperatures. The shower was large and amazing! During the night, I woke to footsteps in the barn............. It was a field hospital during the war, many of the patients did not make it. Before breakfast we were treated to a lesson in history from a re-enactor. Breakfast was delicious, crispy home fries, scrambled eggs, fresh melon and southern biscuits and gravy! Not bad for a Yankee establishment.
