Under Canvas Moab is located on 40 acres only seven miles north of Moab, Utah and just moments away from the entrance to both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Moab is one of the most exciting places for adventure activities in the country. With opportunities to fly, climb, hike, bike, drive, ride and tour the only challenge will be choosing which adventures to participate in. With views across the desert towards Arches, the camp blends into its dramatic surroundings where deep canyons and towering plateaus create a raw landscape of immense power. If you ever wondered what it would be like to really experience the desert, now you need wonder no more. The luxurious tents offer guests the opportunity to enjoy Utah's spectacular desert without giving up the comforts of home. This is no traditional camp site. This is camping as it should be. The camp boasts a wide range of tents suitable for every size group and budget. Choose from tipis, which are simplicity in themselves, or the safari tents, which range in luxury culminating in the decadent Deluxe suites with their own internal private bathrooms and roll top bath. All of the tents come equipped with bedding and towels so there is no need to bring your own.

I was in the tent closest to the highway. Friday night there was a ton of truck traffic all night and it was very hard to sleep, even with the earplugs they provided. I think the truckers make noise on purpose. Saturday was better for noise but worse for wind. It would get very windy in the afternoon and evening and my tent had a large open space where a vent lead outside. This let cold wind in and in April, it gets cold at night!!!
There is the wood-burning stove but it doesn't stay lit long and obviously, if there are large gaps in the tent, the heat won't stay in. It also didn't vent well and the tent got smoky. They do have very comfortable beds and the views are amazing but the shower is a pull chain so there is no way to wash properly if one hand is pulling the chain to keep the water on. The staff was very nice and the concept is great. But the execution didn't work for me and it definitely wasn't worth the price that they charged. Also, too close to the main tent and the lights were prohibiting me from seeing the amazing stars.
