If you’ve ever said, “Let’s just go somewhere and do nothing,” this might be your place. Whispering Hill is a cozy, one-bedroom mountain hideout about 9 miles outside Berkeley Springs—but it feels a whole world away.
Think: front porch coffee with a breeze, no one else around, and a night sky that still knows how to show off.
It’s simple, it’s quiet, and it’s built for two.
One level, no stress
Everything you need is right here on one easy, no-stairs-required level. There’s a full-size bed that’s surprisingly comfy (not one of those creaky ones from your grandma’s guest room), and a gas fireplace to keep things warm and extra cozy when the mountain chill rolls in.
The Roku TVs in both the bedroom and living room mean you’re not stuck watching the same thing together... unless you want to.
And if you’re bringing your pup? They’ll love the yard and open space as much as you will.
Chill outside or play inside—your call
Some people come here to unwind. Others... bring their competitive streak. You do you.
✅ Hot tub on the deck for soaking under the stars (or middle-of-the-day, we’re not judging)
✅ Game room with a pool table that’s seen its fair share of friendly rivalries
✅ Campfire ring that calls for ghost stories and toasted marshmallows
✅ Propane and charcoal grills, because you never know what mood the grillmaster's in
Add a front covered porch for sipping drinks during an afternoon drizzle, and you’ve got all the makings of a weekend you’ll talk about for weeks.
Modern-day basics (because we like hot showers and cold A/C)
Whispering Hill keeps things classic, but with just the right updates to keep it comfortable:
✅ High-speed internet (so yes, you can stream, scroll, or send that last email if you really must)
✅ Washer and dryer for muddy hikes or long stays
✅ Window A/C units and gas fireplace for full-season comfort
✅ Private driveway and free parking
✅ Pet-friendly—up to 2 pets are welcome (just a heads up: it’s $40 per pet, per stay)
And the home is entirely yours. No shared spaces. No one knocking on your wall. Just you, your favorite person, and maybe a sleepy dog curled up nearby.

Whether you’re coming from the city or just craving a slower pace, Whispering Hill is the kind of place where time takes a back seat. You can head into Berkeley Springs for lunch, hit the spa, browse the shops, and still be home in time to catch sunset from the porch.
Or, honestly? Stay in your sweats, eat pancakes for dinner, and pretend the world doesn’t exist for a little while.

House Rules & Checkout Instructions
This property is non-smoking.
So emergency vehicles can access the surrounding roads and properties, please do not block any driveways, roads or intersections.
Please do not exceed the number of vehicles driven per the number of bedrooms.
Check in time is 3 pm or anytime after. Please call our office to see if any early check in is available the day before or the day of your arrival.
Check out time is 12 noon promptly. Our housekeeping staff travels a great distance, please depart no later than 12 noon.
Please bring your own personal hygiene products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc).
Please bring any spices and cooking preparation items (oil, foil, wax paper, etc).
* If the property has internet service, the internet logon information is located on the refrigerator
We have a rental agreement that we email to you to electronically sign.
While we want our guests to enjoy their visit, please be respectful of the neighbors by refraining from playing loud music or any unacceptable behavior.
Guests must be twenty five years of age or older to rent this property.
CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS:
If traveling with a pet at a pet friendly property, please remove pet residue from the yard and pet hair from the cabin.
Check out time is 12:00 noon promptly.
Please do not leave any perishable food in the refrigerator or freezer, condiments are acceptable to leave.
Please bag all trash in a standard trash bag and ensure all recyclables are bagged. Garbage service will not remove any non bagged trash.
Place your garbage in the trash box at the driveway entrance (for Woods Resort Properties only, please take your garbage to the community dumpster just past the outdoor pool). Please call the office for trash pick up if garbage is overflowing.
Please wash all your dishes or start the dishwasher.
If there is a wood burning stove or fireplace, ensure the fire is burnt all the way down and close the door or fireplace screen. DO NOT PUT WATER INSIDE FIREPLACE OR WOODSTOVE, WATER WILL CRACK THE DEVICE. Leave all ashes in the fireplace or wood stove.
Campfire ring burning - if property has a campfire ring, please make sure the campfire is burnt all the way down and wet down with water before departing.
Please turn off all lights before departing. Ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked.
During summer months, please set air conditioning to 75 degrees.
During winter months, please set heat to 55 degrees.
Please return the key to the lock box and roll the lock box numbers on all zeros (0-0-0-0). Ensure you leave the key in the lock box for housekeeping to access the property.
Please leave the cabin in an orderly and reasonable condition, our housekeeping staff works very hard to make the properties sparkle. Gratuity is appreciated for the housekeeping staff.
