Nice room in a decent hotel

Would be five bones but on our second night a belligerent street urchin was able to enter the elevator with my girlfriend alone and began acting inappropriately, his face inches from hers! Luckily she was able to open the elevator door and escape running through the lobby to the outside where I was with our dog. Telling me what happened, I immediately went into the lobby where the guy was just standing there nonchalantly talking to the front desk? Where was security?? It took my yelling and dropping f-bombs to get the guy to leave. Still no security in sight??? The night manager gave us the yada yada, blah blah blah "there's nothing I can do, you booked through a third party" BS and brushed it off like my girlfriend was just scared that a homeless person entered the elevator with her. A quick call to BringFido got a lot more empathy to our situation resulting in a formal apology from the hotel management the next morning and the reassurance they're looking into their practices. Let's hope as it's a nice hotel… just needs more security to keep the riff raff out.

    Perfect location

Stay was (almost) perfect. Very close to almost everything you'd want to get out of NOLA. Acceptably clean, staff was helpful, TV has lots of channels. There was hot water from the faucet, but not from the shower, so I had to take a cold one (which I didn't mind enough to make a complaint). City views were okay - nothing exceptional. Everything else was great. Mikey had the best time. Will definitely stay here again.

    No grass area for dogs

Location pretty good. Just a 10 min walk to French quarter.

Just wish the potty area was closer

For safety reasons as NOLA isn’t very safe after dark I wish the hotel provided a pet potty area. Otherwise my stay was perfect.

    Lovely stay!

Great location , easy check in and orderly rooms. Lena and reception staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. However, the I.T. Team needs to get it together and show up to rooms when promoted. We called for them twice and twice they did not show up. Not cool

Great in-room experience and access to French Quarter

Hotel was extremely dog friendly and staff couldn't have been more welcoming during these COVID times. Walked to French Quarter. Parking half a block away if that matters to you.

    Super Accommodating!

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating with whatever we needed. Rooms are nice and simple and priced appropriately with no pet fee! Do keep in mind that there is no connected area for dogs to go potty. Best and nearest place is a local park about 4 blocks away which isn't a bad walk at all. Same goes for parking. Public/hotel parking isnt attached but the Valet parking is well priced and there are many nearby public parking garages that can be used. Overall great and friendly hotel! Would not hesitate to use again.

Enjoyable Stay for Dog Friendly Bachelorette Party

We stayed at the Aloft during my dog-friendly bachelorette party. The hotel was very clean and in a great location. It wasn't too bad of a walk to many of the hot spots. I highly suggest making a reservation at Flamingo A-Go-Go for their brunch. They have outdoor dining that's dog friendly and even have a dog menu.

At the last hotel they gave dog bone , water dish and poop bags by the door. It was a nice hotel that took dogs

I have to say, my experience was the opposite of the other reviewer. I found all of the staff to be incredibly approachable and friendly to us and our dogs. We were asked once to be sure our dogs did not lounge on the lobby couch, but we were asked politely and discreetly. The bar staff were great! We booked multiple pet friendly rooms, and we took our dogs down to the bar with us. They were a hit! While the hotel isn't in the quarter, I found it to be an easy walk away. There isn't any green space around the hotel, but that's par for the course in most urban areas. I definitely enjoyed my stay and will return again. I love Aloft!
