The room was very basic, tidy enough, though the dust beneath the bed and in the corners was plentiful enough to show that it wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Bed was firm, moved around lots, but no bedbugs. The AC was just cool enough to cut the heat, but I couldn't imagine it on a hotter day. It was safe and relatively quiet. Close to a good BBQ joint.
