  Not a good stay

  My husband and I booked an arrival and return night at Christies. This is an older home that is in need of some repair and remodelling. A lovely gentlemen and his daughter own and run this B&B which was Nova Scotia's first 40 years or so ago.
  Our room was off the main building and we shared a bathroom with the male owner. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and was dirty. The mattress was old and the pillows were uncomfortable. The bedding was thin and felt as if it had been around for a few too many years. The bathroom was in total need of repairs. Old caulking around the bathtub, old windows in need of repairs, a very small pedestal sink with no electrical outlet. This was not a comfortable stay and we cancelled our return night. On a positive side the breakfast was excellent and well presented. Both father and daughter were lovely and kind people.
