- KrisMay 10, 2024Very dog friendly!
They have dog treats in the lobby. Everyone was very friendly and kind. Easy to get the pups out and to the grassy area in the back. Would definitely stay here again!
- ChrisMar 31, 2024Great hotel for dogs
Plusses: Reasonably priced. No hassle. Great free shuttle to downtown. Clean, modern rooms. Free breakfast and coffee was ok. Minuses: very small grass area for dogs to relieve themselves, nothing but parking lots around so nowhere else to go. Ice machine on 1st floor broken w note it was broken, they didn't bother to mention where a working machine could be found. TVs lack ability to access streaming services. Front desk attendants were ok, not terrible, not great. Overall, I would stay again.
- DavidDec 29, 2023Nice hotel
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, and dog walk area convenient to the building exit and parking area. Dog treats and water in the lobby by registration desk. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.
- TrishNov 25, 2023Always a great stay
We stay here with our pups anytime we come to Asheville. It's a nice clean place and convenient to everything in Asheville. The shuttle to downtown is an awesome bonus and pups can ride too!! No worries about finding parking!!
- JohnOct 25, 2023Nice stay
Staff was helpful and kind.
- FleurSep 13, 2023Asheville gem
The shuttle, the shuttle, the shuttle. The hotel is right off the interstate which is convenient, but they have a shuttle bus that will take you and your pup into downtown Asheville. No parking issues. You can explore this great city, and when you’re done, they will come and pick you up. The hotel is 7 years old but looks brand new. And it’s quiet! Our new favorite!
- SusanAug 21, 2023Pet Perfect
So happy with Country Inn & Suites-they were very welcoming.
- MarisolAug 20, 2023Not good
The room was ok. The only thing is that they gave me a room with a view of the roof of the hotel. They send me a text asking how my stay is going, when I mention about the view they answer. "Thank you for your feedback. We will follow up with you shortly." The next day they send me a text remembering the checkout time. Nobody contacted me for the feedback. Why they ask the client for the feedback if they are not going to do anything? The dog area is very small.
- ChristineJun 16, 2023Great pet-friendly stay
Great place for the dogs and their hoomans! The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is nice dog walk area! The staff was very friendly and there must have been at least a dozen dogs every night that we were there! We visit the area often and will now make this our place stay!
- DonnaFeb 7, 2023Good place to stay
Room was super clean and very nice. Was on the 2nd floor so had to go up and down stairs to take the dog out. Breakfast was great with a good selection. Still trying to figure out all of the extra charges on my credit card from the hotel that were above the stated pet fee.
- DawneOct 14, 2022Almost, but not quite.
TBH, I was delighted with most everything about this property. My room was clean and well-appointed. The dog area was small but wholly adequate. The welcome station for pups was cute. Breakfast was substantial, with hot and cold items. The bed was super cozy. My only complaint was that the water in the shower was only lukewarm. During our two-day stay, I was never able to get adequately warm/hot water. I would probably stay here again, but would ask to check the shower before finalizing my checkin.
- RobinSep 15, 2022Perfect in multiple ways!
From check in to check out and everything in between, this place was awesome. Treats for the pups and cookies for the humans in the lobby every day. Breakfast is also included and there were plenty of choices. The staff was great to all of us—2-legged as well as 4-legged. The location is convenient to the downtown area and several of the local breweries. The hotel also has a dog-friendly shuttle that runs from 9am to 10:45pm which is such a blessing as parking is not easy to find downtown. I’m not sure when we will be in the area again, but we will definitely stay here!
- KimberlyAug 17, 2021Clean and comfortable
Clean, comfortable and pet friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
- JessicaAug 4, 2021One of the best
AMAZING experience. Either brand new or recently redone hotel. The staff was so friendly and went above and beyond. The rooms are clean and great. They even have a shuttle that will take you down town, which is also dog friendly!! Asheville in general is one of the most dog friendly cities! Will definitely be back!
- HaleyAug 1, 2021Great hotel
Stayed here for a few nights with my pup and it was very nice. I choose this hotel from the others because it looked the most clean and updated. We loved that they had a dog cookie bar in the lobby and a big grassy dog relief area. They have a nice patio area with a fire pit and also have warm cookies at night. Overall all pretty good stay room was clean.
- HeatherFeb 10, 2021Staff was very nice
This hotel was older but not too bad. The staff was very nice, my dog loved the dog treat bar. The free breakfast was good. The location was odd but ok
- Susan and GregJan 30, 2021Great for People And Dogs!
Very nice hotel, updated and clean. Beds comfortable and a free “to go” hot breakfast box due to covid with extras available like yogurt, cereal and fruit. We asked for a room close to the dog relief station in the back of the hotel and that request was easily accommodated. Easy access to dog relief area and bags were provided. Dog treat bar in lobby with treats from local dog bakery! Was hoping they would provide dog bowls but no luck. I had travel bowls. Direct tv in the room and the suite gave us adequate space. We have 2 dogs, a GSD at 88lbs and a husky/shep at 54lbs. No hassle or questions on size or breed, $50 per dog extra per night. Highly reco if you are traveling with your doggos!
- MonicaJan 14, 2021Good Stay
it is not listed but 80.00 for 1 pet. the front desk person made a mistake and had manager over ride since we were being charged double the amount. it only cost us after the alterations were made 25.00 for our dog pet fee.
- CarynOct 14, 2020Excellent
One of the cleanest hotels we've stayed in. You wouldn't know there was a pet on site if you didn't see one. There are no odors - no disinfectant or deodorant smells. Exceptionally clean with very friendly staff.
- ThomasAug 23, 2020Great Hotel for pets
Most pet friendly hotel we've been to. Also, an excellent hotel in every other way for their humans.
- BrittanyJul 23, 2020So close to everything!
We loved our stay! Hotel is super close to downtown, Hawkeye loved the treat bar in the lobby! We will definitely be back.
- GloriaJul 20, 2020Great For My Dog!
this was the first time my 4 yr old golden had stayed in a hotel they put us on the dog friendly floor so everyone on that floor had dogs also wasn’t a far walk to the potty area they had treats in the lobby very happy with our stay!
- BrandieJul 15, 2020Fleas?
Right off the bat, the parking lot is kind of behind the building so you have a little walk to get to the main entrance. Not convenient if you have multiple bags and a dog. Front desk was friendly, elevator was slow due to Covid-19 procedures (only 2 ppl at a time). Our room smelled a little weird when walking in but could get past it. I had my beagle with me so I go to give her water and notice a flea on her leg! (She hasn’t had fleas in years). I thought it was just my eyes playing tricks on me but then I noticed three more on her foot and stomach. We tried to switch rooms but there were none available. The front desk was very apologetic and refunded us $30 back, it’s just a shame that my dog was exposed to this. Thankfully she has flea medication she is on and there were none in our bed. We think maybe she got some on her from the elevator (which had a very dirty carpet) so just beware! Other than that, the room could be cleaner, bathroom is small and the shower has a half door. Despite the fleas, not the worst stay but I would look elsewhere if you have a dog just to be safe.
- LoriJun 9, 2020So welcome
They made me and m dogs feel so welcome, special pup treats and the cleanest pet room. I will go back
- DianneJan 19, 2020Sooooooo Pup Friendly
Dogs were welcome everywhere except the dining area during breakfast hours. HOWEVER, you are provided trays to fix your breakfast and carry back to your room with your pup. The bed was AWESOME...large enough and soft enough. The room was spacious and clean. Great location...not too close to downtown Asheville, but right on the edge. We saved money booking through BringFido...about $100. There was coffee, cookies, and pup treats out all the time! It was very cold during our stay and a cup of coffee at 4:00 pm when we returned hit the spot (and a cookie). There is an Earth Fare a little over a 100 yards from CI&S. My husband walked to get some beer....locally brewed beer! All front desk employees where helpful, friendly, and kind. We had a great stay and breakfast was very good both mornings! Def stay again with our sweet girl.
- RickOct 13, 2019Great Venue
Fantastic hotel – very clean and very accommodating for pets – note that your pet is not a lot of mold in the breakfast area, which I think use a nice courtesy for the other guests. The hotel has a free shuttle to downtown and back all day long! I highly recommend this property!
- BarbaraSep 14, 2019My favorite hotel!
My favorite hotel!
- LeslieJul 12, 2019Consistent Quality
This was our second Country Inn stay. Good location. Excellent service.
Shuttle to downtown. Large, clean and appropriately appointed room. King sized, comfortable bed. Nearby stores and eatery. Traveling with a dog can be difficult but Country Inn and Suites eliminates the stress of finding pet friendly lodging.
