  Newer hotel. Dog friendly with a small area behind the hotel for your dog to do its thing. Fine gravel but was kept clean and neat. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was professional and courteous.

  Our 5th stay!!

  We've made the drive to-and-from California and Louisiana twice already with our dog and two cats, so when it came time to MOVE to Louisiana with our pets, we knew where to stop for our first over-nighter. This hotel is clean, comfortable, and has an excellent, friendly staff. Our animals are always welcomed here (for a small fee), and it's close to some of our favorite eateries (Mr D'z Route 66 Diner for dinner, and grab a breakfast sandwich and coffee from the Human Bean on your way out).

  Definitely worth staying

  In lieu of nearly all on the road-travel lodging this particular La Quinta gets things right for humans and pets alike. Clean, clean, clean from the moment I entered it’s double doors in the lobby to my room, exercise/Lottie area for canine travel buddies, the fitness room to the dining area. The design and layout a plus! Ask for additional blankets if there during winter months. Personally prefer those over the quiet heating system. Saves on resources. Kudos to the pleasant, hard working staff!

  Staff was friendly, room was comfortable, clean and conveniently located for taking dogs outdoors to a designated pet area. Great breakfast, too!

  Very accommodating

  I was trying to beat a storm and called to ask to move my reservation up to that day (early by one day). They were quite full but they were so kind to give me a room but let me know it would be slightly different (two queens instead of one king). When I arrived they gave me a room on the first floor towards the end of the hall for easy access outside. The room was clean and had hard floors and you couldn't hear much noise. This was a welcomed stop after adding 5 hours onto the drive with my 2 pups who were troopers. Lots of fast food, grocery, gas, auto parts, even a hospital near by which made it easy to get up and go.

  This La Quinta seems brand new although one employee said it is 6 years old. Our room was clean, odor free and comfortable. We slept well and so did our dog. We would happily stay there again.

  Quiet and nice

  Modern clean room, nice big suite, comfortable King bed and great pillows! A pretty quiet night and fairly well insulated rooms and sound proof - love the NO pet fee. We travel with two labs and had a great stay here. Gravel areas outside for dog potties - just wish every dog owner would pick up after their dogs!!!!!

  Pungent Pet Odor

  Everyone at this Kingman hotel was pleasant and professional from the front desk to the maintenance workers. We use La Quinta often when traveling with pets however, this is the first time we've stayed in a pet-friendly room at a La Quinta that had a much more pungent pet odor... we do expect some level of odor in a pet-friendly room but never to this degree (room 201). Not pleasant at all. We will continue to stay at La Quintas but management should be aware of these concerns.

  Good

  The first room that we were assigned smelled like urine. We asked to be moved and the second room was much better. This location has carpeting which isn’t great, but the room appeared clean. Overall, a good basic hotel, but it was pricey. However, compared to other hotels this was a solid choice and I would stay again.

  Would stay there again

  Very nice La Quinta, as usual. Great location near a PetSmart, Safeway, and many other amenities. The pet area is kind of small and astroturfed, but just fine, and kept clean. And there are areas around the hotel to walk, too … in fact, the PetSmart is a walk away. Very friendly and helpful front desk folks and staff. Would definitely stay there again.

  The room was clean, and good for us and dogs. Had decent place for taking dogs out, no complaints. Breakfast was not great, all cereal geared for kids, only reason they lose points.

  They really have a dog walk in the back right off elevator if you stay on upper floors. Our human stay was very nice and comfortable. I recommend this hotel.

  Great Location near I 40

  New hotel! It was really nice except no breakfast due to Covid. This is the only hotel so far who has cancelled breakfast on our trip. The pet area was all pebbles but it didn’t bother my dog. No pet fee!

  Fabulous stay!

  Absolutely recommend this hotel to any traveler, dogs or not! The rooms were spotless, beds very clean and comfortable. We loved the pool and outdoor area for the dogs. They are in the process of renovating their breakfast area so we didn’t have breakfast, but was happy to find a Dunkin only 2 minutes down the road. Loved this hotel!!

  Disappointed

  Checked in at 6pm was over 100 degrees. A/C was turned off, room was stifling and the smell of urine and ammonia knocked us over. The floor appeared to be saturated in urine, even my two old dogs did not want to go in room but we had no choice. In the morning, I let front desk know she said "ok, we will clean up for the next guest."

  Good for pets, not people

  The reason to stay here is the pet friendliness. For us humans, it’s not great. Bed linens are quite worn - one of our sheets was basically in shreds. Pillows can be best described as “a dictionary wrapped in a towel.” Bathroom toiletries were one tiny shampoo bottle and a bar of soap. Fairly clean, staff was friendly, outdoor areas were clean. Masks required but apparently not enforced. Bottomline, stay here if you’re traveling with pets, otherwise pay a little more somewhere else.

  Great stop on our move from Nevada to Texas.

  La Quinta’s are always a little hit or miss, right? This one was definitely a hit! It is a newer hotel and super clean, had a great parking area for parking our moving truck and a good dog walking area along the side. This hotel is right next to a shopping area so had some great options for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

  The WiFi didn’t work which was the whole reason we stayed there rather than camped. The room smelled like urine every time the AC unit came on.

  Great Pet Friendly Hotel!

  My two Shelties and I overnighted here on the way to a Scentwork trial in Las Vegas. We were warmly received and our room was nicely set up for furry guests. ‘Dog relief’ area was immaculate and equipped with baggies and disposal bins. Long walks through the surrounding area were pleasant and just what we needed!

  Nice hotel but thin walls.

  My room was on the first floor three doors from the back door which was nice for taking my dog outside, but not so beneficial if you want to get any sleep. At 4am I was woken up by the ice machine which is down the hall and then the back door banging non stop from people going in and out of it. I have a 10 hour drive and was onle able to get 4 hours of sleep because of the noise. Other then that the hotel is really nice and close to food and walmart. Keep in mind it is the dessert so there's no green area for your dog a lot of rocks but my dog didnt mind.

  Clean and friendly

  My room was fairly noisy next to ice machine and door to stairs. But the worst noise was an older child having a very loud tantrum for over an hour. I finally called front desk at 11pm and I guess they took care of it. Then slept really well and hotel is next to every convenience you could want including a major chain pet store. At least I wasn’t on a plane with that child.

  Fabulous Fido Hotel!

  La Quinta Inn in Kingman was absolutely fabulous! My husband was traveling with our 1 year old German Shepherd to attend 2 weeks of training with Michael Ellis in Santa Rosa, California. In my search for hotels that would take a GSD on the route from Alabama to CA, I ran across BringFido and was directed to LaQuinta. The hotel was very friendly and accommodating during their stay. The next morning, my husband was a couple of hours down the road when he realized that he left the dog bowls in the room. When he called, the girl at the front desk said "Hold on" and ran down to the room to check--returning with "Got them!" He will definitely be staying there on his return trip! Thanks LaQuinta and BringFido!!

  Just What We Needed

  This hotel is impeccably clean. Staff is super friendly. Room was comfortable, well appointed w/ a lot of outlets and a HUGE bathroom (loved this). Hotel is very close to restaurants. We had noisy neighbors but not sure if that is the hotel’s fault. As for pups, they have mutt mitts outside

  Great Stay for Pets

  We wondered why this was slightly more expensive than the other pet-friendly hotel, but glad we stayed with La Quinta. Worth it! Looks brand new even though built in ‘16. Extremely friendly and dog-loving staff. Dogs are allowed everywhere except for the food area during breakfast time (the one person not adhering to this was nicely informed of an alternative area without shaming.). The only thing slight negative was desert landscaping, but hey, it’s the desert. Our dog figured it out quickly! Will definitely adjust next road trip to time our stop here!

  Clean And Updated

  Great hotel! Staff was wonderful and the rooms were fantastic. 4 bones die to lack of green space for the dogs (sharp gravel). Other than that, very picturesque and centrally located.
