  Affordable stay

  I would give this hotel a 4.5 for the dog traveler as it was very quiet & pleasant & near all sorts of services. The grounds for dogs are pretty nice except for the behavior of the travelers who failed to pick up large morning piles right near the doors & walk areas. The exterior lights could be brighter or come on sooner, imo. It was a rather dark approach. Also, we found some things the vacuum missed under the bed that you have to be careful of with pets & kids—hair elastic, a pill, etc. The carpet in our room was frayed but otherwise the room was clean & quiet. I would stay here again with a dog. If a female travelling alone, I would need better exterior lighting to feel comfortable.

  Room was clean, walking path for dogs and poop bags if needed. Hotel staff was nice. Gave us a secluded room so less noise.

  Nice stay

  The facility was clean and the staff very friendly. We were traveling with 5 dogs. When we checked in they said there was a 2 dog limit per room. They accommodated us, but it was frustrating, especially after being on the road so long. There is a $20/pet fee, which is fair but I wanted other owners to be aware of the surcharge. That said, if I was traveling with fewer, I would stay here again. The facility and staff are great.

  Very welcoming and clean!

  The rooms were very clean and in good repair. Lots of grassy areas to walk your dog. Didn’t stay for breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

  Clean, friendly, well organized but...

  This pet-friendly hotel in really nice. Very clean with a little cozy area for relaxing outside. The outside is clean and very well organized for dog's hygiene. Unfortunately we were located in room 201 which in very next to the door of the stairways going down to the 1st floor so every time someone went for a cigarette the slam of this door was causing our 5 months old puppy to bark and our neighbors to be disrupted. Since this hotel was about 15% full, front desk could have done a better job if they would have done a better guests distribution to avoid other guests close to our room on 2nd floor! Overall an excellent choice, but specify a more private location on 1st floor if available.

  What a nice hotel, pleasantly surprised

  We always stay at La Quintas because they’re so pet friendly but they’re usually a little worn and torn. This one seems super new or refreshed. Larger areas and higher ceilings with a pretty color scheme. Very nice hotel and I hope our next La Quinta stay is at one that’s as nice :)

  People & Doggie Stay

  The only thing they don't promote is people cleaning up after their dogs. There are no dog bag stations (we bought our own). There aren't even any trash cans to put the poop bags in. There is dog poop everywhere on grassy areas. They should really enforce that, and or clean up. Otherwise nice size room for people and large dog to stay in.

  Dogs are treated like guests!

  Welcoming, clean hotel, good lighting and feels safe in dog areas for late night potty breaks. We will be sure to stay at this hotel again.

  Great Location

  La Quinta Inn was the best pet friendly place we've stayed yet. It was clean, welcoming and had a very reasonable pet fee. A welcome bag with snacks was handed to us when we arrived and staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast bar was adequate and room amenities were sufficient and the couple of items I forgot were given to me at the main desk. We'll definitely stay here again.

  I stayed for one night with my two dogs on the way to Vermont. Friendly face at reception. ✅ The room was clean and comfortable. ✅ There’s a nice grassy area with pet station outside. ✅ Very nice!

  It was ...OK.

  Pet review-We stayed on the ground floor, which was convenient. We were left to find the dog area on our own, not much service. There were no bags in the area, and appeared to have been a long while since there was. It was quite dirty, thankfully we brought our own. I was only acknowledged at checkout.
  People review-The exterior looked new. The room had been renovated, but was in desperate need of repair. There was pet hair from a previous occupant. Pets could not be left unattended. Pool was murky. Upon check out (Sunday) there was significantly more staff, lobby floors were cleaned.

  So Pet Friendly and great Location

  We had a great stay with our 2 dogs. The hotel was spotless. They were very pet friendly. The dogs were allowed in every part of the hotel. They gave us a room right in back so all we had to do was walk out the back door to the grassy area. The pool was open and had a great outside sitting area right outside. We were able to eat and have the dogs with us. Because of covid breakfast was a 2go bag. It was a bagel, and water or a muffin/granola bar , an apple and a water. My only complaint was the coffee. Also, the places location was great! We went to Lake George, Saratoga springs, took a ride to Albany and had a mall right across from the hotel. Definitely would come again!

  Newly renovated

  The front desk staff helped me shovel my car out of 2 feet of snow while lending me their ice scraper and brush to clean the snow off of my car. Great experience and hotel!

  Pesticide on pet area

  We were so upset with our stay here. When we got there and checked in we noticed signs all over the grounds about Pesticide being applied just that morning.......EVEN IN THE PET FRIENDLY AREA! So, since every grassy space on the grounds has been sprayed with a toxic chemical where are we supposed to take our pet to relieve himself??? We asked the front desk clerk and her reply was she didn't know anything about it as she had just got there at 3. She said she would make some calls but we never heard anything from her. They didn't even offer to refund our pet fee. I hope they were more upfront to the other guests than they were with us. I can't believe every space around that building had been sprayed. How reckless and irresponsible. We will think twice about staying at any more LaQuinta's in the future. Our furbaby deserves better. I don't even think this is worthy of 1 bone.

  They love dogs!

  We checked into this hotel and my dog got a goodie bag. There's plenty of grass around the property for the dog to walk. The desk staff was super friendly. My room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent.
