    Nice

The room was nice and clean, but very small. The pet fee was per night not the usual per stay.

    Not very pet friendly

I have 2 great danes. I chose this hotel because it allowed for big dogs ($40/each/night) when I got there, there were signs saying that no dogs were allowed on the bed. When questioned, they said that it was too hard to get the fur out of the sheets, and if the dog is on the bed, they may need to give an additional charge. What am I paying $80 for? They offered dog blankets (packing blankets) for my pups to sleep on the floor.

I also got a really sad lecture about how great danes are wonderful breeds but it's too bad they don't live very long... blah blah blah. The room itself was basically a bed and a bathroom. The tub did not have working jets and if someone down the hall was having a good time, you heard it. The A/C does not go below 70 and they requested that it stays on Auto. I used the bathroom fan and the A/C on ON as white noise, so we ended up only barking a little bit, when people were coming and going from their rooms.

The good point about it is that there is a large grassy (full of ant hills...but still) area to hang out with the pups, and the view from the parking and the grassy area is beautiful. If you have small pups, or a doodle, it's probably a fine and inexpensive place to be.

    Good experience in Sedona

The dog rooms are on the first floor of their older section. The rooms are nicely appointed, roomy and quiet. They have strict rules about no dogs on the bed or you'll be dinged on your credit card. Although there is a field adjacent to your room, they warn you about prickly weeds that can be problematic to your pup and you. They recommend an area that had a rock base.

    Good location, reasonable prices

We stayed two nights at Sedona Village Lodge in the beginning of February. We booked a king room with kitchenette in the new building. The room is very clean and spacious. This boutique hotel is located in the back of a shopping center, so there are plenty of free parking. There is an empty lot right next to the hotel, but be careful of little prickly spikes hurting their paws.

The bed is very comfy, there is also a nice fireplace in the room. They use good toilet paper for the bathroom, not the usual one-ply paper used by most hotels. Showering does a bit cold because there’s no shower door. They can put in more towels bars. Overall, we were very happy with our stay, especially given the high prices in Sedona.

    Dark and dingy

Not my cup of tea. Literally, there was no tea/coffee maker and the room was really dark. Didn't like it here at all.

Perfect place to stay for hiking with your pup!

Great location with a nice grassy field to take your dog out to right next door that actually connects to a couple of trails! There’s also lots of restaurants nearby. We stayed at one of the suites because they were still very reasonably priced and it was clean and roomy. There was a fireplace and AC, perfect for the unpredictable AZ weather. They also have treats and pet blankets available at the front desk (no pets allowed on the furniture).

    Sedona Village Lodge

Very charming place and quiet location (very quiet make sure you go to dinner before 8pm this town closes up early) loved the hotel, beautiful views!- a living room and kitchenette too. In a little shopping center with some restaurants and even acupuncture & thai massage! Do be aware that they have a strict "No pets on the bed" policy, but they do provide doggy blankets for Fido to sleep on the floor. No pool or fitness room, but that's ok, the surrounding landscape is so beautiful with lotsa hikes nearby. Only beef - there were two tvs but only one remote. We always fight over the remote, so you can imagine that this was a problem! Other than that, if you're looking for a nice quiet getaway, this is the place! It's in Oak Creek Village - about 7 miles south of Sedona proper. But, you are right at the Bell Rock Trailhead, so there's plenty to do!

    Friendly staff

Very pleasant staff. But the walls are paper thin and we could hear everything next door and above us. Bed was a bit soft and squishy. No grassy areas to walk outside property. But plenty of trails driving distance.

    Great Staff and Stay

I booked last minute and could not be more pleased with the stay. The staff were kind and helpful, the room was cozy, and the location is perfect for hiking with your pups around the red rocks. It’s a really quiet location with an open field right behind for potty breaks for the pups and easy access to everything you might need.
