This motel has been operating since about 1950. The lobby has old furniture, wood burning fireplace, lots of decor. The rooms are updated but original floor plan. Unique place that's friendly to our dogs.

I would have to say this is the worst place I have ever stayed. When we arrived, the first room we were placed in the a/c was not working appropriately. My husband took the filter out and it was so packed that he could not clean it. I took the filter to the front office and the check in clerk Daniella took care of the filter and cleaned it. Then the refrigerator did not work. The manager (Sharon) came down and offered us a new room. She even offered to move us into the room. Once in the room my husband and I got ready to take a shower and looked at our feet and realized why are our feet so filthy. We realized the floors were filthy. My husband cleaned the floors and filled multiple towels with dark black grit. Daniella apologized over and over again and finally comped this night. The next morning we left we were told the room would receive a thorough cleaning and when we came back the room had never been cleaned, the bed was not made and the bathroom was never cleaned. Again went to Daniella and she offered for me to speak to the owner. In fact the owner(James) had a housekeeper come in to clean the room. We thought all was good.
Much to our dismay the next day we left came back and no one again cleaned the room or made the bed. Trash was never emptied and dirty towels never removed. Yet the housekeeper brought clean coffee cups. I explained to the front office I will never be back and would never recommend this place. I explained the tub was never cleaned and the toilet was never cleaned and that this was unacceptable. All she said was I am so sorry. Please whoever you are do not waste your time on this place. It is unclean and filthy. If reputable help is not available this is not my issue. You must expect exceptional help and if not available fire them. I know that I will never stay here again. In fact an old employee had told us the place had bed bugs. GROSS!!! If it were possible to give a 0 as a rating a zero it would be. Uncertain if the owner truly cared.

Clean, well-Run motel. No doggie treats or water bowl, but terrific large penned in grass area the size of a football field right behind hotel; town’s combination dog park and playground.
