My reservation was cancelled by Harris Ranch. I called BringFido and said I did not cancel my BringFido reservation, I cancelled another reservation for a different date. They tried mightily to get it reinstated but no luck. Harris Ranch would not reinstate me and there were no other convenient locations available at the last minute. I ended up driving an additional 6 hours because I did not want to leave my dog in the car overnight. I have all the paperwork to prove that Harris Ranch lied.

Harris ranch is dog friendly but only in your pet friendly room. The pet fee is $25 on top of your room. There’s trash cans and doggie bags all over. But the dogs aren’t allowed in the pool area, restaurants or other people’s room. Oh and you can’t leave your dog in your pet friendly room. Their website says you need shots records and license information but when we got there it’s like the honor system. The standard double bed room is okay at the best. Expensive for what you get and the food is okay. The beds weren’t comfy and the room wasn’t well insulated you could hear other people flushing the toilets, opening and closing doors and walking upstairs. 2 stars/bones because it was nice to bring my dog with us on this trip but not a lot of stuff to do around with our dog and the pet fee isn’t too expensive.

Don’t miss out. Not sure about all the reviews here. All I can say is I’m a very mean guy, Oscar the grouch that’s me. Luna is a gorgeous big husky. The rooms are the cleanest you will find on this planet; the grounds, grass, flowers ,palm trees, roses are breathtaking. Nice resort, kinda away from everything. Not very pet friendly though. About the only place pets are allowed, Is in a pet friendly room itself. Not at the restaurant patio, or pool area. Great food for the pet owners though.

Harris Ranch is a working cattle ranch, and it smells like it. That being said, the grounds are beautiful with lots of dog walking areas. Dogs are not allowed in the dining room. Room service ends at 8 pm, which could be inconvenient if you are traveling with a dog and have a delayed arrival. The menu is very meat centric, as you might expect. There aren’t any other options nearby. Rooms are spacious but run down. I think the price point is a little high all things considered.
