Stony Creek is NOT your normal lower price cookie cutter hotel! Our room cost $110, a comp room elsewhere would’ve easily run $150. IN ADDITION it has its own custom wilderness/prairie themed decorating! Lots of nice original touches make it seem much more expensive (add $25 per dog). Breakfast was ok: including bacon or sausage would be good. Biscuits were PERFECT! Need real butter though. Also, need SMART TVS, then you’ll be EVEN MORE PERFECT! Thanks for a great stay.

Totally cool with dogs, just staff wasn't masked which was annoying. Hotel has good location downtown though the parking lot seems like it lasts forever, not a good transition to an otherwise walkable downtown with your pup. Go to historic main street, there they have nice buildings rather than parking lots.

The hotel's location is decent close to downtown. Of all of the places we stayed on our way out west, this was by far our least favorite. While there were some signs posted, you would have had no idea that there was a global pandemic going on. The staff member working the front desk only pulled up her mask for me b/c I was wearing one and took it off after I walked away while working with other guests (most of which weren't wearing masks). The pool was also packed full of people/kids which was a little concerning. Hopefully, by the time you travel with your pup, COVID is a distant memory, but the town/state is not very dog friendly. I believe the state of Iowa does not allow dogs at restaurants, even outdoors. Sioux Falls is not too far away and South Dakota was far more dog friendly.
