This is a great place to stay for a north woods getaway with your pup! Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We are already discussing a return trip!

I know the hotel has no control over this but the mosquitoes were awful. Our first room was filled with them. it was a small dingy room. We requested another room to see if mosquitoes were better. There were a few but we switched. We put our stuff in room quick and left. Went to the beach which was over a mile away. The scenery at hotel is nothing. just a roadside motel. We came back to room later and tried to get ready for bed and mosquitoes were out of control.
It was hot so we thought if we turned on air conditioner we could get under a sheet, but NO AC. We were miserable and I was worried about my dog getting bit up. At 11 PM we decided to leave. I have contacted the hotel owner to see if we can at least get the pet fee back. I also feel we should be reimbursed for the room. This place is in the middle of nowhere. It’s across from a nice golf course we wanted to try but they wouldn’t allow our small dog to come with us. So the trip was a bust.

The room was clean and better than you would expect in an older hotel. Although they allow pets, I wouldn’t consider it to be dog friendly. There is no designated area for dogs to go potty; just signs that request you to walk dogs behind the hotel. At night the area behind the hotel is dark. Continental breakfast was listed on the hotel site but was not available during our entire visit. This was one reason I chose to stay here. Grab and go breakfast with pups would’ve been perfect! The owner/manager requested to be texted with any questions or concerns. Texted her inquiring about breakfast but never received a reply back. Internet was available but never worked. The bed was comfortable. There is a Tesla charger available on the premises. If I was in the area again I would stay again but only if I was without dogs.

The room was clean, bed comfortable and our dogs had a place behind the facility to do their business. There is a public boat launch with a small park less than 1/2 mile from the hotel. We took our dogs there for some off leash time and that was great also.

Check-in was by text message indicating room number. No problems and room was very clean although a bit dated. Wi-fi was limited but workable. No pet issues and long walk areas behind the motel unit.

Pet friendly for a overnight stay. Pets are not allowed out front and need to be walked in the back of the building in an unfenced area. Perhaps in the future they would consider a dog run.
