  Very dirty room. From the beds to the rugs not being cleaned before we came in. We found a disgusting bed sheet and mattress. We had to use our sleeping bags to sleep. Thank goodness it was only one night. The rugs had dog waist from previous guests. We explained this to the front desk and all they would offer was reward points if we were members of the chain. We do not usually stay at hotels for this same reason. They always seem to charge you to stay with a pet but never clean the rooms before you stay. Very bad business. If it was cleaned it would have been a nice place to stay and rest like we needed after traveling.

  Room was clean and well equipped. Had a single queen bed studio; room included refrigerator, mini stove, glasses, silverware. Close to all of the Columbia parks that we wanted to visit.

  Convenient location right off I-70 with a ton of casual dining options nearby. Room had all of the amenities you'd need and staff was very friendly and helpful.

  Nice Spot but Wrong Room

  This was a very good pet-friendly establishment. Clean, spacious room, nice kitchen area. Our only problem was we reserved a room with two double beds and got a Handicap-Accessible room with one King bed and a walk-in shower. Very close to the lobby so it was easy to get into and out of, but not what we reserved and paid for.

  Would definitely stay again

  Checkin very friendly and helpful. No breakfast but we knew that before checking in. Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. This is the type of place we would hope to find every trip and especially if we were staying longer than one night. Fully supplied kitchenette in the room. Dog run/area fit its need. Definitely recommended!

  We booked three rooms and all was well. Friendly staff, clean rooms and grounds. Grass areas just outside to air the dogs.

  This hotel smelled fabulous, the front desk was friendly and efficient! The room was welcoming and perfect. But the fridge made loud noises and the water pipes were loud. My assumption is people showered and the pipes didn’t like it?????

  Full sized refrigerator and kitchen! Comfortable, quiet, clean, friendly, helpful, and reasonably priced! Due to food allergies, I travel with two coolers of food. Traveled with my mom and dog. Best stay ever!

  The hotel was extremely clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable. They have the friendliest pet policy I’ve encountered at any hotel. Location is convenient and safe. I would definitely stay again.

  Last minute arrival without reservations and they had a room on the first floor for us. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. And the room was clean and very functional. 10 out of 10!

  Comfortable with dogs

  The hotel was friendly and comfortable. There is a lot of grass around the hotel and in the immediate area, and they provide doggie waste bags. The room was right next to the back door for easy access in and out. We will stay here again.

  We had a suite with a full size fridge, microwave and stove. Room was big and had a nice work area. Hotel is convenient to the highway with lots of stores and places to eat close by. Plenty of grassy areas around for the pups to relieve themselves.

  Beautiful pet-friendly hotel

  This hotel is beautiful. Very very clean. Nice green grass all around the hotel for pet access. We were traveling with dogs and were so happy that they accommodated pets. I would highly recommend this hotel as a stay. Will definitely stay there again on our next travels.

  Great place!

  We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. The only issue we had was the guy above us was loudly stomping around, but that's out of the hotel's control. We would definitely stay again. Friendly staff and easy check in.

  Incidental charges

  The room was clean, but after we paid for the room the next day two charges (incidentals) were made to my credit card which I did not authorize. The first charge was for $10 dollars, which I was told would drop off of the card; the second was for $15 dollars which I now must call the hotel and find out what this is about. No complimentary breakfast is provided, but they will sell you food items from their pantry? I probably won't stay here again.

  Great stay. Stopping on our trip across the country. Great to get a first floor room when you have a dog. It was clean. Very big grass area outside. Some folks are sadly not very thoughtful about picking up after their dogs, but cannot fault the hotel for that.

  Consistent quality, pleasant staff

  This was our second stay with Candlewood Suites and they seem to be very consistently managed. Staff was very pleasant and on check-in moved us to a lower floor to accommodate our large dog who refuses elevators(!). Green space was right on the street, but the sidewalk allowed for an easy neighborhood walk. Our queen studio was clean, comfy, spacious. Kitchen and bath amenities were all well stocked. A pleasant stay.

  Rooms were clean, place was easy on off, plenty of room to park a pickup, only issue was someone who left a small dog alone in a room that let everyone know it was lonely by barking for about two hours.

  Super clean. Bed was so comfy. Staff was pleasant. They don't do breakfast but the rooms have full kitchenettes. Was really impressed with the luxury of these rooms for the price.

  This hotel is not only convenient to the interstate and restaurants, the staff was excellent, bed was comfy, and the room was very clean with thoughtful touches. We had everything we needed to relax while passing through on our 26 hour drive across the country. Most of the other customers staying at the hotel were friendly and welcoming of our pup. There is a small area for pets to do business with bags and a trash can. I was surprised how quiet it was at this hotel for being just off the interstate. You won’t be disappointed if you book this hotel. A little secret: the Mexican restaurant is within walking distance and lets you take to-go Margs. Also helpful for a good nights rest after an 11 hour drive day. Enjoy!

  Hotel was away from busy streets and traffic. It had plenty of green space surrounding the building. We traveled with two medium size dogs and one large-no questions asked. Check-in was easy. The room was clean and spacious.

  We arrived around midnight and had to stand at the front door for 5 minutes waiting for the desk clerk to unlock the door. He said he was very new on the job. Door in the bathroom wouldn’t close all the way as it was sagging and hitting the door frame. Beds were great and room spacious. Enough grass to walk dog but dispenser out of poo bags. Bottom line: I would stay there again with our dogs.

  The staff was nice and hotel was clean. There were no hand towels or rags in the room and no regular coffee in the lobby. No breakfast. No dog walking area that was obvious. Not worth the money. Was not in a scary area though, and it was close to the interstate.

  Dog friendly absolutely, clean the people were so friendly. The room was spotless. They do not serve breakfast anymore so each room comes with a kitchen a burner stove and microwave and a full-size refrigerator. I didn’t know that or I would’ve brought my own coffee and maybe some bacon and eggs. Excellent choice for people who have dogs. Very welcoming.

  I’ve stayed here twice in the last two years with my big dog. Each time have found staff (and even other guests) to be very dog friendly. There’s ample grass outside for potty breaks, too.

  Great place stay stay while traveling with my big pups!

  Traveling cross country with my 105 lb golden retriever/ Shepard mix and 65 lb pit bull terrier. Only stayed one night but the hotel was very accommodating and rooms were clean and comfortable.

  We loved the Candlewood Suites. Was very dog-friendly, clean, and quiet. The property includes a dog-walking area including complimentary waste-bags and trash can. Its in a well shaded part of the property, so the dog loved it! The suite features made our stay on a long roadtrip very relaxing. Will definitely stay again!

  very clean and friendly staff. We however had booked the King bed suite with separate entrance, but were informed that it was not available. However we received a nice double Queen room. They ended up not charging for our dog because of the change of rooms.
  A little disappointed that they do not offer a continental breakfast of some sort but we will manage.

  Gone are the days of drab, dreary hotel rooms when you travel with your dog. The Candlewood Suites property and room were wonderful. Clean and comfortable, with well-lit grounds, I couldn't have asked for more. And my dogs loved it too!

  Awesome!!

  We stayed in a Days Inn on the way to Florida (from Colorado), so on the way back, I was truly hoping for a MUCH better place. Candlewood FAR exceeded my desires! It was so clean, and reasonably priced, had a full kitchen, and super comfy beds
  (we hadn’t slept well in 2 weeks!). I will absolutely go back to this hotel with my pooches in the future, and I highly recommend you do too.

  Rooms were extremely clean and spacious. Our pup loved exploring, while she may have picked up other dog scents, we could not tell another dog had ever been in the room. Friendly staff and beautiful rooms. We will definitely be back to stay at this Columbia Candlewood suites.

  The customer service was outstanding as was the cleaning. When I was using the free WD, a lady spent the whole time cleaning each machine with a toothbrush. Outstanding and have since stayed at other Candlewood hotels because of such a positive experience here.

  If you are traveling on I-70 this is a great stop just off the highway in Columbia, MO. Very reasonable rate and only $25 pet fee (we have two large dogs). Friendly staff.

  We stopped here on our way home with our new fur babies. We already had in tow my mother-in-laws Yorkie, and had gone to MO to pick up a 3 month old Husky. Well, we got 2 instead. With 3 adults and 3 pups the room was spacious and comfortable. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean. This was my first stay at a Candlewood, and definitely won't be my last. It was great that it had a full size refrigerator since the Yorkie has special foods that needed to be refrigerated. I don't sleep well at home, much less away, however the beds were so comfortable I slept very well. The staff was very friendly and was impressed that their 'cantina' didn't have items three times their regular price as most hotels do. They even had full size washer and dryers at no charge. Forget the timeshare nightmare. Will be staying in a candlewood with my pups again.
