    Will be back again!

Second stay here. This lovely old hotel is a mix of old and new. They welcomed the dogs. We had a 2-room suite that gave the dogs space to play. They have a good restaurant and room service is excellent. Breakfast is adequate. Parking is easy in back. Most important is the feeling that you’re staying with a friend who has a very large house.

The Lincklaen House welcomed our dog. The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was included and very good.

    Fabulous establishment

We loved the hotel. It was quaint and cute and very accommodating. We were there for a college tour and they let us have a late checkout. We were able to leave Pele, go on the tour, and then return for our pooch and check out. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

    Not So Great for Sleeping

This property is a bar with a hotel and restaurant above it. We stayed December 26 - 29, 2022. We heard the bar's music, especially the base-line reverberating through the historic hotel to our second floor room. The bar does not close at 11:00 pm as indicated. It closed at 12:15 and 1:15 am with a liquor license until 2:00 am.

I rated this otherwise awesome hotel one bone for the overnight desk clerk's comment when I asked if the music could be turned down. She said, "The paying customers in the bar like the music loud. It's an old hotel. The noise travels."

I think a paying customer in the hotel should be warned about the noise from the bar. We stayed four nights and the first two nights we did not hear anything from the bar, which was open and playing music. The last two nights I could not sleep until the music turned off at 12:15 and 1:15 am.

The hotel obviously knows about the noise issue and they could have taken measures to advise the guests that the bar may be open until 2:00 am and by telling me that I will hear and feel the music from the bar if they decide to turn up the volume level. They could have offered me a white noise machine or even ear plugs. I don't know if a different room on an upper floor was available because it wasn't mentioned.

When I checked out I was not asked how I enjoyed my stay. I would have said that the rest of the staff was extremely friendly and delightful providing the absolute highest level of service at any of the historic hotels I have stayed at (and I seek out old restored hotels because I love them), especially Debbie who was wonderful. The continental breakfast was great. The waffles were made from scratch batter and the coffee was probably the best hotel coffee I've ever had. The other breakfast selections were of high quality as well.

I had room service the first night and my food was delivered promptly and it was excellent. If you are in the Syracuse area you should have dinner there. The dining room is restored to the glory of yesteryear and it's very cozy and inviting. The hotel room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, although it was an elevated bed (up to my waist) that I had trouble climbing into and out of. An oversized footstool is provided.

Our dog enjoyed the hotel as far as we know. There are grassy areas nearby at the Post Office and public trash cans on the street for the poop bag disposal. Our elderly dog did okay going up down the long staircase since there is not an elevator and all of the rooms are on floors two and three. I appreciated that there was no extra fee for the dog.

All of my in-laws who live in the area were curious about staying at the hotel as they had all dined in the restaurant and had partied in the bar and now they know that the rest of the out-of-town family should avoid staying in the hotel -- unless they enjoy music and a reverberating base-line until the wee hours and being treated like a second class customer. We will dine there again for our next trip to the Syracuse area (we'd like to take the whole family to dinner here!) but we will never stay here again.

    Fantastic place

My wife and I have stayed at hotels all over the world and the Lincklaen House is at the top of our list. It’s almost 200 years old and has historic charm. But is meticulously maintained, clean, and comfortable. The staff is professional and gracious. We loved the place.

    Great historic hotel

We really loved our stay in this old historic hotel. The room was very spacious, clean with all the amenities that we needed (except the tv did not work, but that was not an issue. Don't really need tv on vacation!). Debbie at the front desk was most helpful, pleasant and engaging. She suggested places to see in the area and filled us in on the history of the hotel. There are several places to eat in the hotel. We chose the Tavern in the lower level. The food was really good (server not so friendly) but the overall experience was great.
We would come back here anytime even though it was a little bit of a drive heading West off 90. We traveled through a lot of farmland and Amish country, wondering where we might end up. We were pleasantly surprised!
We enjoyed the town and met several friendly people.

    Beautiful town, nice historic hotel!

I just did for one night, but very nice historic hotel in the middle of town, and super dog friendly! Thank you to the entire team for making us and our pup feel so welcome!

    Quaint Hotel

Cute old building in the middle of town. Several other pets staying and the staff was very welcoming of them. The park at the end of the street is nice for a quick morning walk.

    Lovely roadtrip stop

We opted for a short excursion off of I-90 (instead of staying at the usual highway motel) and it made for a nice break. Cazenovia is a pretty walking town and the centrally located Lincklaen House is close to everything and the lake. Great for the polite friendly dog (hallways and staircases are narrow and winding).
