Property dingy, room clean but many mothers would demand a do-over for a bed made the way I found it. No TP holder in bathroom(!)--caused untethered roll to fall in sink that didn't drain by default.
This place is disgusting. Sticky floors, funky smells, and BLACK MOLD growing in the bathroom. We got into town super late with pets in the pouring rain and had no choice but to stay. I’ve never cleared out of a hotel room so fast in my life. When we informed the person at the desk that there was mold in the bathroom they brushed it off saying they “don’t know anything about that.” Also, the side exterior doors don’t require a key card to open them so literally anyone can wander into the hotel at any time.
If you're reading this review, you're just looking to see if it's passable for ~$70/night or similar. It's not a nice motel, it's not a nasty motel either. Would say keep expectations low, ask for a room facing the river, and you'll be good. I asked for 2nd floor as there are some characters roaming around and zero security. Fulton NY is... a low brow town. And so is the Red Roof Inn.
We stopped over here for the night while working on our State Parks geocaching challenge. Perfectly located right in the middle of the Central Parks region. Also plenty of fast food places and Dollar Generals in case your food supply (or iced coffee!) is running low or you forgot something (like an umbrella). Room was clean and comfortable. Only thing wrong that I noticed was the microwave turntable plate was missing. Still cooked my ramen just fine. Desk staff was friendly. My dog is small and couldn't get on the bed by herself, but the ottoman made a perfect step for her. We earned the coin the next day without losing hours on the road. Will definitely remember this place for next year!
