  Nice Stay

  We had a nice stay at the Aloft Syracuse Inner Harbor. Barney received many pets and even treats. The room was clean and comfortable.

  Sketchy neighborhood

  We checked in after a long day on the road and we’re looking forward to a relaxing evening and visiting the brewery nearby for dinner. Unfortunately the parking lot the hotel uses is across the street and several cars had recently been broken into. Sketchy guys lingering in their car for a couple hours also made us uncomfortable leaving our new truck with cargo trailer there. Front desk staff didn’t seem to care about our concerns, so we called the police ourselves. Decided to check out and find another hotel beyond Syracuse.

  First Timer

  For being my first experience, taking my dog to a hotel, it was very pleasant. The hotel is very very clean and the staff was delightful and dog friendly.. The walls are a little thin so the noise startled me and my pup, but other than that I would go back.

  Nice location off of highway. Friendly staff. Plenty of green space to walk. Parking lot across the street.

  Fine hotel

  Friendly, alert, welcoming staff. Stylish design. Clean, bright, good park location. Accepts big dogs, including my 140 lb wolfhound/malamute. I will look for Aloft hotels for my future travels.

  Great Rooms

  Aloft always seems to have nice consistent rooms. This location's breakfast though was far worse than other Alofts. Enjoy the rooms and walking areas, skip the breakfast.

  Plenty of area to walk your dog in daylight. Rather desolate industrial surroundings. Dark and not well lit except hotel grounds. Nice room and comfortable bed. The heating/cooling unit was loud. As the temperature outside dropped below 40 we couldn’t get the heat to work. Only blew cold air. So I turned it off. Front desk staff were not real helpful. No breakfast included. Coffee was mediocre. Probably won’t be back.

  Great green space

  There is open green space all around this hotel. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Easy access off freeway. Would definitely stay here again.

  Great location

  We stayed one night at Aloft in Syracuse (11/29/21). Very easy to get to off the highway and close to lots of places to eat. Ample places to walk the dog outside with bag dispensers provided.
  Room was a bit cramped but assume this is usual set up for Aloft. Would have liked a chair other than the desk chair as it was a little difficult to eat in the room without a table. But it was nice and clean and we were given a first floor room. The staff was very welcoming.

  My new favorite!

  We stopped here for one night on a road trip and it was wonderful - we will stay here again! There are dog bowls in the lobby, lots of great green space just outside the front door, and in a very safe neighborhood. It’s a super comfortable, clean, and friendly hotel. The kids wanted to stay longer, and we will definitely look for Aloft hotels in future travels. Plus no pet fee!

  Great experience

  I would recommend Aloft at Inner Harbor for anyone traveling in the area with their dog. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. At check in, I had to fill out a checklist, but it was no big deal. There is plenty of grassy area to walk your dog and it was well lit when I took her out at night. The inner harbor is a pretty area with plenty of great restaurant options. We will be back.

  Convenient location, highly functional concept hotel, dog friendly

  This Aloft was a solid place to stay with our dog. We walked her around by the water. The corner room we booked was clean, highly functional, and worked well for us. This is located within a Syracuse urban renewal project, which is overall not totally completed, but it is going in a great direction. We’d driven, and so we could run out to grab wine from a great nearby Liquor Warehouse which had very decent choices. Then we ordered pizza to pick up from the very nearby Apizza Regionale which was some of the very best pizza I have ever had in America - I’d describe it as artisanal Italian style. It was fabulous. Their chocolate hazelnut budino dessert was also stunning. Yum! Maybe I wouldn’t walk to those places, since the neighborhood transformation from sketchy to superb is not complete yet. If you didn’t drive, see if Aloft will have their shuttle driver take you where you want to go.

  Interesting Place

  Great facility, clean and bright, looks new. Comfortable room and pleasant staff. The Inner Harbor itself is an effort at urban renewal that seems to be stalled. Not much around the hotel in terms of restaurant's or places of interest. Hotel is kinda isolated.

  Great location

  We are newer dog owners so I was nervous about the hotel really letting us bring her because she's not a cute little dog breed. Of course she is a very well behaved overly friendly dog with a little bit of pit bull features. We had to fill out a form at check in notifying of breed which her adoption papers say lab mix and nobody seemed to really bat an eye which is what I was nervous about. There was no problem taking her out for her 1:30 am relief because there is so much space to walk your dog or take a stroll as a family right by the water. Parking across the street was the only downside because cars don't slow down for pedestrians not even younger ones like my 7 year old. But, all the other guests seemed much happier with their pets than seeing guests at other hotels. Definitely worth staying if considering instead of boarding.

  Charming Front Desk Staff!

  I'm a fan of Aloft Hotels.

  I stayed at this Aloft near the end of an 18-day roadtrip with my sweet dog. It was wonderful.

  The room was typical Aloft: upscale and comfortable.

  The front desk staff at both check-in and check-out were among the most charming people I met on the entire trip. They treated me like family, and I loved that feeling -- especially appreciated after a long day of driving.

  Parking is free and plentiful.

  On a future trip to Syracuse, Aloft would be my #1 choice.

  Great stay!

  I needed to give my senior dog a pill and had forgotten to bring something to help him take it. I went down to the snack shop to find something to buy to get the job done. I was not able to find anything. The concierge asked if they could help. I explained what I was looking for and why. They went back to the kitchen and gave me some ham slices for free. I was very appreciative. Their help and generosity was above and beyond. Our accommodations were also very comfortable and clean.

  It’s not in town but it’s near a nice walk/path that you can enjoy w your dog. Nothing nearby for dinner and lobby loud but good place if you have a dog.

  Repeat Stay Within Week

  We booked this on our way to New England. Liked it so much we booked it again on our way back to Ohio. SO accommodating to us and our fur baby. Excellent area to walk the dog. Reasonable rates. Clean room. Good experience.

  Very dog friendly. Everyone made us feel very comfortable with our dog. We were able to enjoy our time in the court yard with the pup listening to music. Great experience.
