  The small area provided for the dogs to do their business was absolutely filthy. Not with other dog waste, but with dead birds and other small animals. My dog was reluctant to walk down the stairs to the area and would not not walk on the grass. Because of the location of the hotel, finding another area in the busy business district was not safe or ideal. Although the view was nice, due to the lack of cleanliness and security, I would not recommend this location.

  Not Great

  Pet relief area was full of trash. Could not sit outside on our oceanfront balcony due to people smoking. Not a great experience.

  Right on the beach!

  My dog, Marley, was just fine. We were on the 1st floor, pool level. The porch/balcony has an opening that does not have a gate. My dog is well trained and with a turned over chair in the space, she was retained. No provisions for dogs, so bring everything you need. The hotel does have a area for your dog to relieve itself, but it is small. It is reasonably priced and allows dogs up to 65 lbs which are the major reasons I chose this place.

  Had to call police

  DO NOT stay here. After I paid fully at front desk (after getting employee out of a room), the employee told me it’s $200 cash that is refundable. I told employee please refund the money I just charged on credit card for dog (not room) so I can leave. The employee slammed their hand on desk VERY HARD and said, ”Are you f@c@ing kidding me!” I left and called police. Hotel was being renovated. I’m trying to dispute my charges for the night. We stayed in a Red Roof that night.

  Great for large dogs

  Had small issue with room and they fixed it immediately. Even though the hotel was doing renovations, the oceanfront view was good.

  You get what you pay for

  More motel than hotel, but it’s on the beach. If you are bringing your furry friend and others, you may want to seek elsewhere because rooms were tight. I didn’t have to bring my kennel bc as long as your pup is behaved it isn’t needed.

  Asphalt Jungle

  Two problems. For a dog there isn't any green space for about 2 blocks. For us humans the place is old and in need of remodeling or just tearing down and starting over.

  Ok

  Room was dirty, the balcony door wouldn’t close all the way, the floor was dirty and I would never cook on that tiny old stove. Linens and towels looked fine. You could here all the other dogs in the hotel barking and I was on the beach. The dog potty area was not good. Tiny, hardly any grass and a giant tree in the middle. Would be fine for small dogs I guess. Only room for one dog at a time in the potty area. Not sure if I’d stay there again, depends on how bad I want to be right on the beach

  Nice location, decent rooms, not so nice property.

  The pool was nice and it's right on the beach. Hallways smelled like pee.

  Ok but not again.

  This was my second stay at this hotel but there will not be a third stay. The place is very in need of updating. The sliding door was very hard to open. It looked like there had been blue tape of some sort around the frame but was only partially peeled off. The floors were lvp but when I spilled water and wiped it up, the rag was filthy. I do not think the floors had ever been mopped. There were no towel racks or hooks in the bathroom, not even on the back of the door. There were no hand towels and when I asked for some at the front desk, I was told they do not have hand towels. The security lock on the door was very hard to operate.

  The dog area is really small, littered with cigarette buts and garbage and dark with very sparse grass (mostly dirt). It rained a couple of nights and there was water standing in the dog area so had to wade thru it to take the dog out. I preferred to take my dog outside the pool area (to the sand). There were some guests near my room who kept slamming their room door at all hours of the day and night. The first couple of times I took the elevator, it smelled like smoke. The frame outside the elevator was rusted. There was almost always trash in the elevator. Suffice to say, I will not be staying there again.

  It was perfect for what we needed

  The staff was great. Could have been a little cleaner...watched a skittles wrapper for two days that the cleaning crew should have picked up many times... Would like to see the pet bathroom area a little bigger. Was clean, just small. Over all, was great. Would stay here again.

  Not great this time

  This place is good if you have dogs but if you don't, spend your money on someplace else. Dog waste area is SMALL. like 4 ft wide and 30ft long. should be bigger to properly take dogs to bathroom. Using the beach is easier. rooms are small, bathroom is tiny. barely room to get dressed unless u stand in the tub. oceanfront efficiency with "kitchen" was not suitable to cook in. only had 2 pots, a skillet (small 7"), couple pieces of silverware, a plastic spoon and spatula. single serve coffee pot, should have full size with kitchen. would I go back? only if nothing else was available, I would spend more on a nicer place.

  Update: we went back a 2nd time august of 2021. Got a oceanfront double room. Rooms aren’t dirty but not clean like that should be. This room didn’t have a coffee pot or ice bucket which was suppose to be included. Ask for one and said they would get on and never did. We seen a roach in the bathroom but kept watch and didn’t see anymore. This place used to be affordable for what it is but not anymore. Definitely will pay more for a better place

  Horrible hotel for any budget

  The hotel is gross, everything about it is nasty. The air in the lobby was blowing HOT air. The front desk clerks were very nice though. there was no parking in the small lot ao they told us to go below deck to park, which was flooded with 8-10 inches of water.I got to the room and the drop ceiling near the bathroom was stained and cracked! the floor was a "wood" floor which is great for pets, however when we wiped the floor with a towel after my son spilled his water bottle the towel was black. We still decided to make the best of the trip and head to the beach, which had garbage on it from bottles to cigarettes. I assume it was like this because it was the end of the beach day and people were packing up. Exhausted we went back to the room to shower and order food. 1st person to shower we find out the tub doesn't drain well....it takes 30 minutes to drain from the shower. at this point we were very frustrated and went to bed. The bed sheets were gross and damp, which explained the damp rid container in the room. I was beyond livid that we spent money at this place. The elevater smells and is slow and not cleaned, the pool is cloudy, everything seems to be rusting and old. we decided to cut our stay short because we could not sleep in the hotel more than 1 night upon leaving, housekeeping was bringing up fresh bed sheets and comforters to another room while dragging part of them on the ground. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!

  Seemed fine.

  Check in and check out were quick and smooth. Staff was friendly. They will let you leave pets unattended in your room if you're so inclined.

  Great stay for dog owners

  My stay at Blu Atlantic was excellent. Management is helpful, compassionate and caring. I will definitely stay there again!

  Room wasn’t the cleanest but was decent. Beds were clean, no bugs, no pet odor. The lady at the front desk so was so friendly. Location is great, right off the beach. We were pleased & would likely stay here again.
