  Great night’s stay

  We have stayed here several times and have always been very happy with our experience at this hotel.
  The people who work here are friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of grass for our dog to walk in. The rooms are very nice. Breakfast is good as well.

  Very noisy

  Hotel is located on I-40. It was extremely noisy! I had earplugs or I would not have slept.

  Great stay

  We were traveling through Amarillo and stayed here with our 3 dogs. The description for this hotel says they will take 2 dogs, but we had 3 and saw some other folks with 4. The pet fee is very reasonable! Nice clean rooms and plenty of grass for your pet to walk and go to the bathroom.

  Great!!

  We checked in and went to our room and immediately there was a strong cat pee smell. I went to the front desk and requested a new room which was absolutely no problem. The mattress was very comfortable and the room was clean and odor free.

  So Gross

  Our room was horrible!! Strong urine smell, a piece of dog poop was under the A/C unit, the bedding was stained, we got flea bites, and the room was so small. They do have a great outdoor space for the dogs and the breakfast looked good but I cannot recommend this place at all for their “pet friendly” rooms.
  We are traveling with two dogs - a Yorkie poodle mix and a Bernese Mountain Dog.

  Loved all the La Quintas

  Great hotel rooms seemed great no smell or odors. My dog never sniffed or noticed anything. Stayed at LaQuintas in three more states. All Great 👍

  Even better the 2nd time around

  Stayed here during the pandemic and it was a nice stay with the dogs. Now there were plenty of other pooches and breakfast is back. Yayy waffles!

  High End Stay

  We were quite pleased with our stay. Room felt like new. Very clean. Only negative was the breakfast; the scrambled eggs had been SALTED! Plenty of places to walk the dog. Mattress was just like home.

  Good basic stay

  We only stayed one night. Easy check-in on the outskirts of town. They put all the pets in the same floor, and the doors are heavy and other pets will bark if they aren’t used to it. Carpet in the room instead of linoleum or hardwood so your pet will continually smell the last dogs smell in the rooms. But fine for one night.

  Good place, lots of dogs

  We stayed one night. The room was nice and clean. plenty of grass for your dog. 3/4 of the parking lot is fenced which is nice. I will echo what others said, it’s loud… the doors are loud and I think that makes for more barking dogs. Luckily, mine does not bark because we were right next to the exit door on the first floor. Convenient to go out for a bit noisy. I turned white noise on my phone and it one point put a pillow over my head. Otherwise I would give it five bones.

  Extremely clean and pet friendly

  This was probably the cleanest most comfortable hotel room I have been in. There were quite a few dogs staying, which meant a bit of barking from nearby rooms, which in turn inspired my dog to bark a little bit, but overall I would say it wasn't bad. They did put us by the stairs which was good for going out but meant more noise to disturb my dog, who gruffed and grumbled a bit (waking me up every time) until the place settled down late at night. Pet fee for large dog was $38.

  Right off the Highway

  Beautiful newer hotel - very clean and staff was friendly. Grassy areas for your pups and plenty of space to walk around. It is a bit out of town so you’ll have to drive for food.

  Good road stop

  This was a very good overall place. Relatively new facility, had some smaller grassy area for the dogs and very accommodating staff. Room was a suite but it didn’t have a kitchenette which really helps when dog traveling with 2 labs.

  Very Pet Friendly and Affordable

  So this was the most affordable "nice" place we could find in Amarillo and it worked for our needs. Just a heads up the rooms are TINY, especially the ones with two queen beds. You can't barely move around in there so if you are planning on staying more than 1 night just know this. We had just myself, husband and 10 yr old along with our Boston terrier. The hotel itself is clean and newer and the pool area was "ok" it was kind of murky and smelled strong of chlorine so I think over-chlorinated. They still are doing doing breakfast which wasn't a big deal, but the grab and go bags had a otis spunkmeyer muffin, Natures Own Granola Bar, Pineapple Fruit Cup, canned OJ, and a small water. It was fine for on the go. It was $23 a night with tax extra to add your pet. The first 3 floors are pet friendly and the top floor is reserved for guests with no pets.

  It was good

  This was good for a quick one night stay and worked good with our dog. Unfortunately, the man that checked us out on Thursday morning was a jerk. I asked a simple question and he refused to answer. I'm sure he didn't want to be bothered with answering a simple question.

  Perfect for a Night

  Our stay was great! We stayed for one night on a roadtrip. The room was clean, they offer a separate dog area with grass, and the beds were very comfy as well. Definitely the best bang for your buck!

  Door Slamming all night

  Folks were nice enough. But the doors were so loud that we were up a lot of the night and our dog was barking every time a door slammed. We got little to no sleep. They also charged an additional 23 dollars for the pet which wasn’t clear when we had already stated we had a pet and finalized payment online. We will not be staying here again. Hope this helps your decision.

  Decent stay

  Close to the airport, not many good close restaurants. Modern hotel, it was clean, but some room doors close loudly, as I found out repeatedly at 5:30am. Not super quiet rooms, but can’t complain. Limited parking, partially lit. Better than other La Quintas elsewhere.

  This La Quinta was very convenient right off the highway. It seems the hotel is fairly new and has very nice furnishings with clean rooms. Lots of places for the pups to do their business as well!

  Great Place!

  Right off the highway but road noise wasn’t an issue. Check-in was easy and staff was wonderful! Room was very clean and bed was so very comfortable! I mean really comfortable!! Plenty of REAL grass for our two large dogs to potty. I saw several dogs and none were disruptive. How nice it was to have our whole pack welcomed! Much needed rest had by all! I would recommend to anyone traveling.

  Staff is very friendly, this new hotel is clean and very comfortable. There are lush grassy areas around the hotel for pets to relieve themselves with dog waste stations and plenty of lighting at night. The hotel is right on the freeway so there's easy access to the location but the road noise didn't disturb us inside the room. Our pup settled right in with us and we all had a restful night. We will definitely plan on staying here the next time we come through.

  Good hotel, good with dogs

  This is one of the nicer motels we have stayed at with bookings through BringFido. If you have a dog, ask for a room on the first floor. These rooms have easy access to the great outdoors, and a bonus of 12-foot ceilings, which makes them feel really spacious and elegant. The staff is friendly to dogs. Plenty of grass outside for dog walking.

  The hotel is almost new and very modern. Rate was quite reasonable and just off highway with lots of places to eat nearby. Very good choice when traveling with our 9 year old Lab

  Great pet stay hotel

  We stopped at this hotel last night. What a great place! Very clean, pretty new, friendly staff, comfy bed, and a good pet area. We highly recommend it, although I wouldn't recommend La Bella Pizza for delivered food! They got our order wrong and initially eent to the wrong hotel!

  nice new hotel and friendly staff

  This is a very nice new LaQuinta with adequate grassy area for pups. There is a vacant dirt lot next door for extra space. Rooms are fine and breakfast was good. A good time was had by all🐶
