Great hotel, stayed a week with a small 6 pound dog. Spacious lobby, lots of areas to walk the dog. Sat in the lobby often with the dog after a walk. All week was fantastic, the manager and staff very welcoming. The manager even spent time talking with us about her dogs and was very friendly. Then on the weekend things changed.
Walking through the lobby Saturday morning as I grabbed coffee, the desk manager created a scene saying we had to leave, that we could not have the dog in the lobby when the breakfast bar was open. We stayed calm and just left. Then later returning from a walk and crossing the lobby she came at us again. She had a dog policy she wanted me to sign - on the sixth day of our stay. Bottom line. If you travel with a pet you have to be aware that there are animal haters out there and training for hotel staff is spotty. Just be cautious.
