  Clean and Convenient

  We have stayed here several times with our dog. The room is always clean and quite spacious, with additional pullout table space under the desk and a comfortable easy chair. The free breakfast is generous and tasty and the nightly pet fee is only $25. Safe and quiet with a lot of surrounding area to walk the pup, and a Starbucks is only a few blocks away and easy to reach when you are hitting the road in the morning

  Good stay

  The location was very convenient and just off of the interstate. The staff was helpful and the accommodations were very nice. I'd recommend this La Quinta location and would stay here again!

  Small dog walk area

  The hotel was convenient along our trip route that is why we stayed there. Room was a nice size and clean. The area to walk the dogs was a bit small. If you want a bigger dog walking area, stay at the La Quinta near the med center.

  Solid stay

  Lots of other people with dogs. They only had a small outside area for them to use the bathroom, but overall it was a great, clean, cheap stay!

  Nice and clean hotel

  Hotel was nice and pretty clean. Pet relief area is very small but there is a vacant lot next door. Nice that breakfast was early and we could eat before our early departure but disappointing that they don’t allow the pets to be in the lobby…..only walk through it but understand that there could be issues with pets if more than one there the same time.

  Great for dogs, okay for humans

  Hotel is fairly new. Rooms were clean. Towels were worn. Had to ask for face cloths and those were so worn you could see thru them. Only one grassy spot and it was a mine field; someone tracked poop down the sidewalk and thru the lobby. Bed was comfortable. Dog was welcomed. Breakfast was good.

  Just Short of a 5 Bone Stay

  Our room was very nice and check-in was easy. The charge for a pet was reasonable (some places are getting really high!). The bathroom did smell of dog urine, but once we ran the shower the smell went away, so not sure what was up with that. Also, the grass area was pretty tiny, with a fair amount of litter, but at least there was one, and it was stocked with poop bags. I’ll stay here again if we’re passing through on another trip.

  Overrated

  I’m not sure why this hotel has 4.5/5 bones. The desk receptionist was kind and helpful but the quality of the room was subpar. There were so many stains as though nothing had been changed out or cleaned. Then as we were checking out of the hotel, there was dog pee on the lobby floor and they must have not had much staff because none of them cleaned it up even after they were told about it or even put signs up to block it. So, people were stepping in it and spreading it all around the lobby floor. I felt gross after staying only a night.

  So nice for the price

  Pets were welcomed as we rolled in from San Antonio. Very nice La Quinta with huge lobby, warm easy entry indoor pool, great beds. Pets were comfy. Dog walking was easy.

  Good experience

  Hotel was clean and very dog friendly. Employees were very friendly and loved talking about our pups. Only thing I would change is the grassy area for potty breaks was extremely small. They have a large empty field next door that would have been great for play but there were a lot of grass burrs that caused our dog to limp they were so sharp. Other than that, everything was great and we would stay again.

  Bed Bugs

  Unfortunately with our stay here there were lots of bed bugs. They began to crawl into our bed, we checked under the bed and there were lots of live and dead bed bugs. Besides that it was a good hotel and the staff was friendly. Thankfully BringFido is helping us sort this out. If you stay here I would suggest checking under the bed for any bed bugs.

  Just what we needed

  Check-in was smooth, room very clean and quiet, easy in and out off the freeway. Would be nice to have a fenced dog area, but not a huge negative. Staff very friendly and helpful.

  Already booked our next stay

  Very nice staff. One reasonable fee covered both pets! Room was clean and well equipped. Our small boys liked the grass area. Appeared that most owners were picking up after their pets. Not a big area but got the job done. Can't speak to the rest of the grounds as we didn’t walk around the building. Breakfast was good too. We have already booked another stay for our trip home.

  Great service, great room

  My two dogs are both large and for one $25 fee they were welcome to stay here. My grandson and kids liked it. The doggie yard was smallish but clean and grassy. Plenty of room to stroll around as they wanted to stretch their legs. Free breakfast for the humans in the family and super friendly staff. Will stay here again when passing through.

  Clean room, lacking outside

  The hotel seems newer and it's very clean inside. The outside area however is not very well maintained. There are no trash cans for poop bags, so people have just piled them all over outside. We had to bring ours inside and put in the bin in our room. Also, upon CK in, I asked where the pet area was and the reception staff said they hadn't been to it. Needs a bit of work to make dogs a priority. The breakfast was super nice though, including breakfast potatoes which seems rare. Also, the hotel is in a strange intersection that can be challenging to navigate. Would stay again if in the area.

  Nice that they offered but needy

  Nice that they offered pet facility with bags but it was not cleaned up, trash and doogy poo in can overflowing. This is clearly not a priority for them.

  The room was clean and check in was good. The dog walk area is small and other areas around the hotel are full of dog waste.

  Not that pet friendly

  Was glad to find a place that took my small dog, but it was definitely not designed with dogs in mind. It was VERY difficult to find coming from the south at night. After making 3 wrong turns (with the help of Apple Maps), I finally arrived to find the entire parking lot paved or covered with landscape gravel and only a tiny little spot in the farthest corner of the parking lot with a few blades of grass. I had to walk from the lobby to the far end of the building multiiple times to unload my things and let my tiny little dog do her thing. It was like walking through a frigid wind tunnel. The back door would not accept my room key card, so had to walk to the other end of building to get in. The room and bedding had a chemical smell, but the bed was comfortable and free breakfast was good. This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this La Quinta and both were extremely disappointing. Another La Quinta in Dalhart was just as bad. Will now try to avoid them and will definitely never stay in Lubbock again.

  Like many other reviewers, we had a great experience and this was definitely a great place to be. There are places to let the dog walk and a nicely renovated space. They’re very careful during these crazy days and even had someone cooking fresh omelets in the morning! Great value and friendly space for our Fido.

  The staff here is SO nice! Their lobby is super cute, the free breakfast and coffee tasted great and they were sweet to my old doggie! Would definitely stay here again

  Very friendly staff and most welcoming to us and our dogs. It was nice to see so many other guests with doggies in the same hotel, and there is even a little grass patch for the dogs to walk 😊

  modern....still smells new

  Very nice & extremely clean hotel. Room still had that new smell. Just a heads up, they do accommodate large dogs, but pet policy states dogs cannot be left alone in the room. Not a problem for us as we were just passing through for an overnight stay. The lobby is gorgeous. The carpet and decor are beautiful with purples & greens. Fridge, microwave & coffee maker in room. Bed was very comfy with white bedding! Highly recommended.
