This was a magical place. While the pet friendly rooms are not in the main lodge, the rooms in the Chestnut lodge were well equipped, clean and nicely updated! It was a magical stay! And while we didn’t use the fireplace, there is a woodburning fireplace and balcony. I almost hesitate to write this great review because I want to keep it a secret. Enjoy!

We stayed in the pet friendly chestnut lodge (room 504).
Everywhere in the facility is pet friendly except for the Harvest Restaurant which was great for us. They even let us include our dog in the Thanksgiving family photo.
The food was good. Staff were exceptional.
The walking trails are amazing even for small dogs.
Most people wore masks and respected social distancing.
The only fault was the cleanliness of the room. Disappointed to be charged a pet cleaning fee only to find a particularly gross tissue beside the bed.
Overall a lovely stay. A great break from the city for us and the pup!

We had a blast! The staff were extremely friendly to our Jack. He’s a minpin and wasn’t handling being around all those people and the bartenders individually introduced themselves to him, learned his name and greeted him all weekend, gave him special treats that he actually liked and contained supplements. Lots of trails and dogs were allowed everywhere except the high end restaurant. Lots of big fireplaces to lounge at.

Safe Stay: Mountain Lake Lodge has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Hand sanitizer is provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Hotel staff are required to wear masks.
