Reviews
- JoyDec. 29, 2022Historic Building
My fur baby & I felt at home in this historic hotel. Lovely & clean, pet-friendly place.
- CarlDec. 26, 2022Nice hotel
Quiet rooms, no place nearby to easily walk my senior dog on his many needed excursions outside. Tiny elevator and narrow, steep stairways. Overall nice place but nothing dog friendly to make it special.
- JamesSep. 27, 2022The entire facility
Could not ask for better accommodations.
- MaríaSep. 20, 2022Good place in general
Clean, comfy, great location. King bed is too high for small dogs, so be aware of that.
- SheilaAug. 30, 2022Some things to know
There is not a lot of grass close to the hotel. It was a bit rainy while we were there (on and off) and so we timed potty breaks and our fur baby used the lawn at the bank next door. The on-site restaurant allows dogs on the patio (not inside).
- MollyAug. 29, 2022No issues
It was a bit out of the way but worked out okay.
- KellyJun. 20, 2022Fantastic!
Clean, welcoming and charming! Great location on Main St. Bar and restaurant on site, convenient! No dedicated green space but there are adjacent patches of green. Will return!
- ScottMar. 20, 2022High End Hotel That Takes Dogs!
Excellent hotel with restaurant on site. Perfect for walking dog along the Main Street.
- LauraJan. 6, 2022Great pet friendly hotel!
Rooms are super comfortable. Great restaurant in lobby. Staff very friendly and helpful!
- CatherineDec. 2, 2021Loved our stay
Quaint boutique hotel, very pet friendly. 2 nice parks close by to walk pups. Room was very clean, great beds. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant, very good. Easy parking, staff was pleasant.
- MikeOct. 13, 2021Great Hotel, Friendly Staff
Older hotel, rooms are tight but fine. 2 people 2 dogs no problem. It isn't the hotel's fault, but if you go and you have a barker, please don't leave the dog in the room. It gives us all a bad name, a reason for hotels to stop accepting pets.
- EdwardSep. 27, 2021Not what I expected
The room was clean and adequate but the only grass area on the hotel property was restricted for dogs. Had to walk a block away to find an area for my dog and I'm sure glad it wasn't raining. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the restaurant, but it was closed because of some health code violation.
- EliSep. 1, 2021Good spot
Will use again.
- KennethJun. 18, 2021Excellent Hotel
This hotel and its staff are very welcoming of pets. The room was immaculately clean. No sign at all of any previous doggie occupants. The King-sized bed was a pillow-top with zero sag - just like new. The shower was a step-in with heavy glass sliding doors for a closure. We would definitely stay there again.
- MaryJun. 14, 2021Enjoyed our overnight in Wytheville!
No problems checking in with our pup! Room was very nice and very clean and fresh! Would not hesitate to stay here again.
- DeniseApr. 27, 2021LOVED staying at the Bowling Wilson Hotel!
Beds were extra comfy, it was very clean & we all felt comfortable staying there. It served as our half way point to Savannah. We booked it for our return trip home as well❤️
- LuciaApr. 2, 2021great hotel with excellent dining options
have always enjoyed a stay here-not many great places to walk your dog unless walk out back across or down the street- but has been manageable-great location
- JohnJan. 10, 2021great
they made our annie and charlie very welcome's
- MikeDec. 31, 2020Pretty good; not fabulous.
BW Hotel provides clean, elegant rooms in downtown Wytheville, easy walking distance from Wytheville's two modest parks. Everything we ordered for dinner, including the cocktails, was delicious. That said, at this price point, very good food and good accommodations are to be expected. There were no doggie extras provided, and breakfast was a very miserable, small pastry selection. Four or five bones would require a lot more work for the price we paid.
- Andrew, Jodie and MaggieDec. 12, 2020So Much More!
We stayed here for one night, really only hoping for a pet tolerant place to sleep.
We found so much more!
Concierge and staff are super nice. Very smooth check in and check out.
The room was great. Exceptionally clean. Towels and linens were super soft. Bed was very comfy and the room was nice and dark.
They are very pet welcoming, bringing water and happy for us to eat from the restaurant (Graze on Main), just at an outdoor table with our dog. The food was amazing. They even prepared a meal for the dog!
As for COVID protocols, we felt very safe. Masks, sanitizer, social distancing, take away/outdoor meals and in addition to the room, the hotel and grounds are immaculate.
No wonder this place is no. 1 in town and deservedly so. A really welcoming experience and a place we would detour for to stay again.
- LizDec. 9, 2019Great place!!
Love this hotel!!
Allows my 2 large rescue dogs!
Fabulous accommodations and best onsite dining!!!! - Andrea ArnholtMore than a year agoLovely hotel-pet friendly
This hotel in downtown Wytheville is pet friendly and lovely. They have a good restaurant & that makes it convenient to have dinner & not leave Fido.
