    Beautiful historic place!

Nice rooms, beautiful rooftop bar with spectacular views! We had a pet friendly room on the 2nd floor. Close to stairs and elevator. A stunning front porch, perfect for an after dinner cocktail with your pet.

    Outstanding!

We’ve always stayed in one of the many motels overnight in Wytheville, with our dog Max. This time I finally said, what the heck, let’s do this! Yes it was more than twice what you’d pay at the motels in Wytheville, but is worth every single penny. Breakfast was delish, and the roof top is lovely. Max was very welcomed here, and we saw many other pooches. Classy, comfortable, and a top notch place, describes Bolling Wilson. We will stay here every time going through Wytheville.

Loved the downtown location in Wytheville. A great little village.

We were there at Christmas time and I felt that the Inn and the town were like a Hallmark movie set. There were lots of dogs around and everyone said hello to our Labradoodle.
    Delightful!

Old hotel in a small charming town

I stayed at this hotel on the way to and from home for Thanksgiving, so I had a chance to stay at two different rooms. The hotel was built in 1927 and has a lovely vintage feel. However, the rooms have been renovated and was clean and well furnished. The two issues: the first room I stayed in had a very noisy HVAC system. So noise to a point I would have asked for another room if it was not late at night. The second room was a lot better. The rooms had a larger than normal dorm sized refrigerators but was also noisy.

The lobby area has some nice photos of the hotel in the early days. There is a small bar/restaurant (Graze on Main) that had a nice atmosphere and great food. They had outdoor seating which would be good for dining with your dog. Breakfast was ok with a full breakfast albeit a little thin. There is a rooftop bar with a nice view of the town. The town is charming and perfect for a stroll. I was traveling with our Maltese and they were very accommodating. There are small but nice grass areas for your pooch out front. The porch is good to relax with your dog.

    Good location

We stayed at the Bolling Wilson Hotel on our way up north to visit family. We were able to secure a room the morning of the day we stayed. The hotel is located in an historic town and the building fits right in with the feel of the town as it is a charming restored building. All the staff was very friendly to us and the dog. We were disappointed that we were offered chocolate chip cookies to take up to our room but nothing was offered for the dog - no treats or water. The room was comfortably sized for all of us. Room had two queen beds so we all had a good night’s sleep. Was surprised hotel did not have any green space for dogs.

    Excellent stay

Room was very large and perfect accommodation for our dog (and his bedding). Breakfast was only so-so, however. Front desk staff very friendly. Nice location.

    Love this Hotel!

We have stayed here multiple times. Lovely property, great breakfast and friendly staff. I would have given 5 bones, but they don't want you to use the front lawn, so we had to take the dogs across the street to the bank for potty time.

    Nice hotel

Quiet rooms, no place nearby to easily walk my senior dog on his many needed excursions outside. Tiny elevator and narrow, steep stairways. Overall nice place but nothing dog friendly to make it special.

    Good place in general

Clean, comfy, great location. King bed is too high for small dogs, so be aware of that.

    Some things to know

There is not a lot of grass close to the hotel. It was a bit rainy while we were there (on and off) and so we timed potty breaks and our fur baby used the lawn at the bank next door. The on-site restaurant allows dogs on the patio (not inside).

    Great Hotel, Friendly Staff

Older hotel, rooms are tight but fine. 2 people 2 dogs no problem. It isn't the hotel's fault, but if you go and you have a barker, please don't leave the dog in the room. It gives us all a bad name, a reason for hotels to stop accepting pets.

    Not what I expected

The room was clean and adequate but the only grass area on the hotel property was restricted for dogs. Had to walk a block away to find an area for my dog and I'm sure glad it wasn't raining. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the restaurant, but it was closed because of some health code violation.

    Excellent Hotel

This hotel and its staff are very welcoming of pets. The room was immaculately clean. No sign at all of any previous doggie occupants. The King-sized bed was a pillow-top with zero sag - just like new. The shower was a step-in with heavy glass sliding doors for a closure. We would definitely stay there again.

LOVED staying at the Bowling Wilson Hotel!

Beds were extra comfy, it was very clean & we all felt comfortable staying there. It served as our half way point to Savannah. We booked it for our return trip home as well❤️

    Pretty good; not fabulous.

BW Hotel provides clean, elegant rooms in downtown Wytheville, easy walking distance from Wytheville's two modest parks. Everything we ordered for dinner, including the cocktails, was delicious. That said, at this price point, very good food and good accommodations are to be expected. There were no doggie extras provided, and breakfast was a very miserable, small pastry selection. Four or five bones would require a lot more work for the price we paid.

    So Much More!

We stayed here for one night, really only hoping for a pet tolerant place to sleep.

    We found so much more!

Concierge and staff are super nice. Very smooth check in and check out.

The room was great. Exceptionally clean. Towels and linens were super soft. Bed was very comfy and the room was nice and dark.

They are very pet welcoming, bringing water and happy for us to eat from the restaurant (Graze on Main), just at an outdoor table with our dog. The food was amazing. They even prepared a meal for the dog!

As for COVID protocols, we felt very safe. Masks, sanitizer, social distancing, take away/outdoor meals and in addition to the room, the hotel and grounds are immaculate.

No wonder this place is no. 1 in town and deservedly so. A really welcoming experience and a place we would detour for to stay again.
