McMenamins Anderson School welcomes five pets of any size for an additional fee of $25 per pet, per night. Guests traveling with pets will be assigned to rooms on the ground floor. Both dogs and cats are allowed, as well as other exotic pets. Well-behaved pets may be left unattended in rooms. Dog treats and bowls are available. You can bring your good dog and leave them in the room if you are going to a place where you are unable to have them. Pets are welcome everywhere on the property and it's a joy to stay here.
Loved the location. Didn't like the smell in the room. We've stayed in a lot of pet friendly hotels. This by far was the most extravagant and expensive and it DID NOT have a good smell in the room at all. Get rid of the carpet - it had a strong dog/urine smell from previous renters. I loved the location and the hotel ambiance. I did not like the smell. I won't stay here again for that reason.
The hotel itself is gorgeous and the gardens are beautiful. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint is that the parking lot was packed and we were forced to park a long way in the back and make multiple trips to the room. The dog walk areas were quite small but they did provide doggie bags and a trash container. There was a water dish waiting for my girls in the room so that was a nice touch.
Were very dog friendly for my 2 Goldens, allowed in patio areas for dining, etc. But had limited areas for them to do their doggy necessities. Was a very nice dog park about 6 blocks away.
