I’ve been to Davis before and knew of the motel. Stayed there the weekend of April 26.
The room was like Schitts Creek. Simple and plain. My one complaint was the noise generated from rain striking the window AC unit in the early morning. It was very loud and kept me awake.
If you have the choice of camping or staying here, I’d suggest camping.

Rooms are dated but clean. Small area of grass for the dogs. Stayed 2 nights and is good for a place to crash and shower after hiking. First hotel we have ever stayed with our dogs and were very happy with the friendly staff and other guest staying with their dogs.

We stay here when we visit Blackwater Falls. The rooms are a little outdated, but roomy and comfortable. There’s a good restaurant on premises, and we left the dogs in the room while we ate, with no problems. The dogs are always trying to walk down the hall to the restaurant because they smell food.
Plenty of grass to walk dogs. Mine also enjoy walking around the block and down the street.
Alpine Lodge is only a couple of miles from Blackwater Falls State Park, so when we visit, we make multiple trips to walk the dogs at the park, then come back to the room to rest.
