  Bare Bones Hotel

  Staff was friendly, place was a dump. Small, fenced area to potty dogs, but absolutely no place to walk them. Room old, heater not working. Carpet old and dirty.

  Helpful staff

  Basic place to sleep. Had a pleasant stay. Nice to have a fenced area even though it had no grass. Great price and close to places to eat.

  Fine for 1 night

  Clean, simple. It's a budget motel. Don't have high expectations, you won't be disappointed. One night stay w dog for fair price. Stayed here twice now w my Great Dane on way across America. It's fine, safe. No frills, no scary guys in parking lot.

  Stay away

  I will start with the positives: The attendant was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and there is a dog park and other amenities nearby. That's the end of the positives, unfortunately. When I walked into the first room I was given, I was smacked in the face with the smell of cat urine. So much so that my throat was burning from the ammonia. I realize that sometimes pet smells come with pet friendly rooms, but this was truly unbearable. I went to the front desk to see if I could get a refund, but she moved me what she said was the last pet friendly room.

  Upon entering the second room, it definitely was better. It didn't smell, but it certainly wasn't clean. There were wrappers on the floor, a pet wet food can, and some other miscellaneous items. Truthfully, I didn't even shower there because I was so uncomfortable. There were several times where I considered sleeping in my car with my dogs at the Walmart across the street, but I didn't have enough cold weather gear to keep us all warm through the night. I stayed there for about 4 hours before deciding to just continue my drive to Idaho. It does look like they are starting to renovate some rooms, but honestly, just put the $60 towards a better hotel if you want a good night's sleep.

  Not worth it

  Good price but run down. Room was not cleaned well. Floor around the sink had grime and hairs along wall edges. Bed sheets had more than a few strands of other people's hair.

  Motel 8

  This is an older hotel and very pet friendly. Stranded for 3 days in winter storm. Very helpful staff. Room was fairly clean. Coffee maker, fridge and microwave needed to be cleaned. I did it myself. I would stay again if I was stranded in Wyoming.

  Great older motel

  We overnighted at Motel 8 on our way through Rock Springs. It was a 4.5 bone stay in a perfectly adequate older motel. The staff, as well as the motel were dog-friendly. Being short-staffed, as everywhere is right now, the room wasn't ready when we arrived. They hustled to finish cleaning it, ushered us in, made sure we were comfortable, and loved up on our two border collies. I was really impressed with their attitude. The motel is no-frills, perfectly comfortable, and we'll happily stay there on our way back on this road trip.

  As other reviewers have mentioned, it has a small fenced pet area with sand and weeds. The dogs were happy to make use of it, but we also made two trips to the Bitter Creek Dog Park, about 5 minutes (by car) away, which was a great place to stretch their legs and go for a wade. All in all, we were completely satisfied.

  An old motel but a clean and comfortable room well stocked with toiletries. Gated place for dogs.

  Great except for pet area

  Room was acceptable, real keys even. The only thing I would say is the pet area. While they have a full fenced in area, due to the geography, grass isn't growing, only dirt and sagebrush. Sadly, pet parents aren't cleaning up after their "four footed children". "Baby Kasey' had to visit the area after an "elephant" recently visited. I made sure to be responsible for my girl.

  Alright

  Dated room. Clean. Safe for a night of sleep, wouldnt stay for more than one night amenity wise. Very small fenced in dirt area (no grass) for dogs to relieve themselves. VERY NICE dog park 5-10 min drive away. Fenced in, grassed, small and large dog side, swimming hole. Awesome park!

  To all appearances, the room was clean. The staff were polite. The location was fine, the surroundings a bit strange and unkempt. Still, worth the money.

  Good enough for a night

  Our first time staying here. On our way home from ID. to CO. If your looking for nice digs, this isn’t it. It is in need of updates and some general maintenance. The room had a pet smell. I’m guessing the carpet. Our two large dogs were with us. We were charged $10.60 for both of them to stay. No hair dryer :(
  They had a tiny dirt slope area fenced off for dogs. Really?! Even the local Motel 6 has grass around the building for your pup. But, your right in the middle of several restaurants and Walmart is up the street. The room was clean. It had two queen beds. So we bring a quilt with us, and the dogs get the other bed. Don’t know if the walls are concrete, but we couldn’t hear anything from the other rooms. The shower had nice hot water. If you need a cheap, room for a quick stay, it’s good enough.

  Great bargain

  Room was clean decent place for my dog to go potty. Staff was really nice. My tv remote wasn’t working no sound. Gentlemen at front desk gave me another room right away. The price was what attracted me the most (half of a lot of other motels). So I was skeptical but I decided to try anyway and I was pleasantly surprised. comfortable bed. Also BringFido was awesome. When I booked the room, I forgot to put the right date. Called the next day and a very nice lady took care of my mistake promptly. I’ll definitely use BringFido again.

  Good Stay!

  $10 pet fee . Nice find in a busy commercial area. Friendly staff and had a little fenced off pet area. There was a lot of early noise as people were heading out but overall a good stay for a great price

  Friendly in addition to Pet Friendly

  Slightly older motel but clean, friendly, conveniently located, affordable, really no different than typical mid-priced national chain. Found it after our reservation “across street” was denied because our dog was above weight limit, which no one had asked when we made reservation. (Rude!) Motel 8 receptionist treated us like family!
