I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Plus Hostellerie Du Vallon, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled in a convenient location within the town, this hotel offers easy access to restaurants and shops, making it a perfect choice for travellers seeking convenience.
Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the wonderful facilities available. In fact, I was so captivated by the hotel's amenities that I even purchased a swim suite to fully indulge in the pool, spa, sauna, and steam room. The best part? I had it all to myself, creating an even more enjoyable and relaxing experience.During our stay, we were thrilled to discover that this establishment was not only accommodating to humans but to our furry friends as we travelled with 3 small puppies one is a Psychiatric Service Dog and the hotel's staff just loved them and made our experience all the more enjoyable. However, one recommendation is for the hotel to consider growing some grass for pets. While there is a very small patch of grass located in the front of the hotel, having a dedicated area for pets to relieve themselves would be a fantastic addition. Such an enhancement would not only provide a more pet-friendly environment.
Originally, I had booked the Standard Queen Room, but upon realizing it was too small for our needs, my partner and I decided to upgrade. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The upgraded room came with a delightful balcony, which not only enhanced the airflow but also provided a lovely view. While the absence of air conditioning was noticeable, the staff promptly provided us with a small fan to alleviate the heat. Additionally, the cleaning crew was fantastic and even provided us with a small refrigerator for our convenience. Although I suggest that the hotel consider installing air conditioning and refrigerators in each room, I must commend the staff for their attentiveness.
The bed in our room was exceptionally comfortable and adequately spacious, which was a relief as my tall husband often finds it challenging to find suitable accommodations in France with larger beds. This aspect of the room certainly contributed to a restful and rejuvenating stay. As Australians, we did encounter some difficulties in town, particularly with reading menus and finding food that suited our tastes. However, we stumbled upon a delightful Italian pizza place just as we entered the town. The friendly staff and outstanding food made it an experience not to be missed. In light of this, I would also suggest that the hotel consider offering small, light meals for guests to enjoy in their rooms, which could potentially enhance their revenue.
Overall, our experience at Best Western Plus Hostellerie Du Vallon was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers. The staff's unwavering kindness and exceptional service truly made us feel at home. While a few improvements such as installing air conditioning and refrigerators in each room could enhance the guest experience, these minor suggestions do not detract from the overall positive experience we had. Don't miss out on the opportunity to stay at this remarkable hotel during your visit.
