    Hoover Dam Lodge

Place was cute. Room needs work. Bathtubs did not drain. And AC was not big enough for the room. It was 110 outside that day. But we still enjoyed ourselves.

    TERRIBLE

We stayed an hour after check in. The hotel smelled absolutely terrible. There was a huge cockroach in the room. I was bit on my ankle as well. Upon talking to the management they treated me as if I did something wrong when I asked for a refund. They called security to come and pick up the cockroach and told me I could not get a refund. After telling them that their behavior was distasteful and persisted with wanting a refund they finally granted me one.

    Too LOUD

The air conditioner sounds like we are on the rail of a locomotive! But with 115F heat it has to be on, it made so much noise it was difficult to sleep. The restaurant is excellent, pot roast for dinner was GREAT and my dog liked it too!

    Absolutely horrible experience

This is singlehandedly the worst hotel I have ever walked into. The entire hotel smells like cigarettes and cheap air fresheners. Our pet friendly room smelled like urine and cigarettes. A man was chain smoking in the lobby when I checked in. The faucets in the room were growing some sort of terrifying substance and the bath was filthy. There were stains all over the chairs. I felt disgusting even standing in the room. My husband and I sprinted out immediately. The photos are a bait and switch - the room was dark and dingy. This was truly the WORST hotel experience of my life and I was only in the building for 15 mins before finding a different place to stay. Wow. Just wow.

    Don’t stay here!

We made the mistake of staying here just one night to give us a break from driving. They accept dogs but there is no place for the dogs to relieve themselves without burning their feet. No shaded spot ANYWHERE. The room was clean but I thought it was odd that there was no headboard. Weird!

    Fido is Welcome Everywhere!

Pets are allowed to stay in the hotel room unattended but are also welcome everywhere in the building, including the multiple casinos. I only gave a four bone rating because the rooms are definitely in need of updating.

    Good time

Only stayed for one night and room was nice. We were able to leave our pet unattended while we visited Hoover Dam and bypass bridge as pets are not allowed on either location.

    Good bed

Your web site said no charge for pets...wrong, there was a charge. Bed was good but AC was so noisy we had a hard time sleeping. Out of there this morning at 4:30am due to the noise. That’s not your problem but they should know.. charged us $1.50 for a glass of ice since the ice maker was off due to covid19.... what a rip off!!

    Don’t Bother

I stayed here for one night with my dogs and while the lobby/casino area is entertaining, there are too many people that walk by (so our dogs were barking a lot and they aren’t usually that rowdy). The entire place including the room reaks of cigarettes and the scent of our room was a combination of dog pee and cigarettes. I wouldn’t suggest this place.

Old run down hotel with lots of plumbing issues and neglect.

The dog rooms have never been remodeled and smell of cigarette smoke from when smoking was allowed in the rooms. The sinks don't drain for 45 minutes after when you run water. After asking the staff to fix the problem while I was out during the day, it was not repaired. The rooms are dark, dingy with no outlets except the bathroom to plug in a cell phone.

The signs outside the hotel state they have a steakhouse but that was removed a while back. There is only one Cafe restaurant on the property & they had a 25 minute wait before you would see a waitress. The other bars place menus out front pretending to be restaurants, but if you ask for one of the items on the menu they do not have the ingredients.

The entryway to the hotel smells like someone dropped a bottle of men's cologne on the floor. The smell is overpowering. I think they do this to try and mask the cigarette smoke from the Casino. I don't believe they have any of the fans to remove the smoke.

Yes, they allow dogs, but not a hotel I would return to.
