  We loved our stay here. The front desk greeted our pet my name and had a goodie bag waiting in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it twice!

  Great stay at historic B&B in St Pete

  We stayed 5 nights in March with our 2 year old yellow lab, Luna and loved it! It was a perfect fit .
  We stayed in Veranda Suite 106. The pet rooms have vinyl wood look floors, ours opened to the veranda and we enjoyed the rockers and sipping coffee or wine depending on time of day. There was plenty of room for her crate, bed , etc. the keyless entry was convenient, as was parking. Being on the first floor made taking her out easy and there was a great neighborhood which felt very safe to walk (sidewalks) and Sunset Park on the water across the street ( busy but there was a crosswalk button ). Bring poop bags. They do provide a big trash can at each side of the building to discard trash.
  We were given dog treats on arrival and the staff could not have been more welcoming. We had access to all areas except the dining room and pool. Luna ended up playing with little girls from Spain our first day in the common area. Breakfast was nice in a historic dining room with lots of windows, we also ordered in pizza ( Central Pizza). Box lunches can be ordered. A good option for staying in and while Luna could not be in dining room, there was the patio, veranda, room to eat in if not going out. We found Caddy’s on Treasure Island let dogs on their lower beach tables so that became a favorite place for dinner and sunset. ( go early, parking is limited). 10 min drive. The opposite way on Central had interesting neighborhoods, museums, and coffee shops and ended in historic old St Pete. (20 min drive)
  Dogs are allowed at many outdoor cafes. We took her to Frescos on the Pier. And to Vinoy Park. So many of the businesses bring water bowls
  St Pete was a very positive pet experience. The Crystal Bay Hotel and Caddy’s made it a great first FL pet vacation- I was sorry to leave!
  ( we were not able to do the popular dog beaches due to red tide but had plenty to do even without those)

  LOVE this place!

  It's nice when your dogs are tolerated, but at Crystal Bay, they are really appreciated! Beautiful, classic hotel. Staff was friendly and treated me and my dogs like we really mattered to them. Breakfast was yummy. And the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is so beautiful for dog walks! I will be back!

  Can’t wait to come back

  This staff was so welcoming and friendly to me and my senior dogs. The hotel was beautiful. Everything one could have wanted was previously anticipated. Hotel was quiet and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. We hope to come back some day.

  What a Gem!

  What a neat surprise this place was; clean, welcoming, charming and in a nice location. Check-in and check-out process was amazing, staff very friendly and accommodating. A better than typical included hotel breakfast. Best of all was being pet friendly with a bag of doggy treats waiting when we arrived. I would have given it 5 bones, but our room (107) was right off of the main entrance and lobby and not very soundproof. Also the bathtub plug didn’t work and the shower lever was loose. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

  Good location, nice ambience

  We appreciate the love that has been going into keeping this historic building a working building, and the native plant garden is a nice touch. The pet friendly rooms are on the ground level with easy access to two exits. The hotel is close to a major road, which can be a little noisy if your room is close to it. Just out the door you can take a walk with the pup through safe beautiful neighborhoods. The room was clean and comfy but the A/C unit was loud. Breakfast was generous and tasty and the pup appreciated her gift treats. We’ll be back!

  They were very organized and friendly. The hotel is attractive with a nice location. There was a little bag of welcome dog treats waiting when we arrived. Breakfast was very good, and room service available. Had breakfast, didn’t try the other food. I would highly recommend and do plan on staying there again.

  Great pet friendly stay!

  Loved this historic bed and breakfast! Couldn’t have been better for our 2 basset hounds! The entire hotel loved them and doted on them! We were on the 3rd floor but close to the elevator and stairs. The room wasn’t huge, but was fine. Convenient location too. We will be back!

  Historic hotel

  Loved the old charming building. Staff were friendly to us and the dogs, including a bag of treats for each dog in the room. We walked the dogs in the lovely neighborhood and found a bike/walking trail just a few blocks away. The beach and its dog-friendly restaurants are only 2 miles away, the fabulous Fort DeSoto Park beach is about a 25-minute drive - worth the drive for sure. We would stay here again.

  Very nice place to stay with our dog. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to come here again. We recommend the Babe Ruth room next to the balcony.

  Great Stay in a Beautiful Historic Hotel!

  This property was a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! From the first contact with staff, this was a great choice! While we were given a room on the third floor, due to the elevator it was easy to take ROMEO downstairs to do his business whenever he needed. The place is decorated very tastefully and homelike. There was always coffee, juice and ice water available in the lobby for their guests. The grounds are well maintained and there is a lovely park across a busy street that wasn't too hard to cross thanks to pedestrian buttons to control the traffic lights. They have a pool that we did not get to use but it was pristine and well maintained.

  There is a dedicated, well lighted parking lot directly beside the side street the hotel is located on. I wish I had been able to stay there pre-pandemic to get the full bed and breakfast experience BUT they have adapted well to still give a "modified" experience. A lovely breakfast with items you choose delivered to your room each morning within a time frame you choose. One warning to keep in mind, this is a very old, historical building so even though it is well maintained and structurally sound, the floors do slope so don't be surprised or concerned! If we every get back to St. Petersburg or have friends who want a recommendation, this will be our ONLY CHOICE.

  Beautiful old hotel with very friendly staff. Pets receive a goodie bag upon check in. Plenty of grassy areas on site and a dog friendly park across the street. There’s an outside trash can by the pool entrance.

  Historic hotel close to Treasure Island and beaches. They were Always so welcoming to my senior dog. And the price is right if you don't need to stay at the high price resorts.

  Can’t beat the location

  We had a great time. Our room had a lovely sunroom annex that faced southwest and caught the sun throughout the day. We never heard other dogs.

  Great Historic Hotel and Staff

  We really enjoyed our visit. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Parks right across the street, and located in o nice neighborhood for walking. It is on old place (but renovated) so not everything is perfect, but it is very cool. We liked it and plan to return.

  This hotel is a treasure

  I'm so happy I found Crystal Bay Hotel. My brief getaway to St. Petersburg with my pup was delightful. And, the staff at the hotel define what hospitality truly is. Polite, caring, helpful, and welcoming! Both me and my dog loved our visit here and we will most definitely return. Crystal Bay Hotel is unique and charming. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

  Awesome place!!

  It was our first time staying here and definitely won’t be our last! They put us in a room that was right near a side entrance door, so it was easy to come in and out with the pups! Someone called a few hours before check in to ask what our pets’ names were and to let us know our room was ready! There were treats bags with our dogs’ names on them when we arrived to our room. Absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to come back! Ohh, and we even got free breakfast delivered to our room!!

  The location in old St. Pete’s near Treasure Island was a gem. The hotel has a charm and was very easy to check in and was very accommodating and there was a dog treat waiting in the room!

  Pleasant Stay

  Crystal Bay Hotel is in a good location in South Pasadena. Hotel's common areas are well maintained; the staff is very nice. The guest room had some issues, such as two upper left glass panes in the window were no longer attached to the window frame, thereby leaving about an inch open to the outside. The opening allowed road and staff noise to enter along with a few bugs. The wall a/c unit was not flush with the wall itself leaving about a 1/2 in gap around the entire unit. The gap was filled with dust as was the fan section of the unit. The PVC surround shower floor had been repaired but not well. The hotel and staff are very dog friendly, with many green spaces to walk you dog, but no poop bag stations nor trash cans to dispose of the waste. Overall, the hotel is safe and adequate.

  Nice location, friendly staff, even though Corona virus still limits contact & breakfast dining. Our dog enjoyed it too. Plenty of space to walk.

  Great Historical Hotel

  Very friendly staff and treat the dog great. I noticed lots if other guests with dogs too. There is a large front lawn to walk the dog plus two parks across the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

  Great Hotel to bring the dogs. I'd suggest bring earplugs - older hotel on a busy street with traffic noise throughout most of the evening. Other than the noise, hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the included breakfast was a great addition!

  Great Bed and Breakfast hotel

  We stayed for 2 nights here, this hotel was so good! When we arrived we had dog treats for our dogs, we also had complimentary breakfast in bed delivered to our door. This hotel is only 10 minutes away from treasure Island beach. And 10 minutes from downtown st Petersburg centrally located to everything! Across the street is a park and a bridge with water. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend this bed and breakfast great for our dogs I love how they don't charge any fees! Such a wonderful experience we had! We definitely will be back! Thank you for a great stay!

  Old style, quant bed and breakfast

  We stayed one night. Very clean and friendly. We had our 80# lab with us. A bag of treats were in the room for him. Free breakfast was yummy via room service. They have a back porch with rocking chair and ceiling fans, a grassy area with benches. There is a large park across the street with food trucks. The one issue I had was them putting us on the 3rd floor with a pet. It would have been more convenient in the first floor for potty breaks. We stayed one night, so we made it work. Visit the Dog Bar down the road while your there. The staff was friendly!

  Crystal Bay Hotel is a winner

  This is a graceful historic hotel, that has been lovingly restored, rooms redone, bathrooms totally updated and new. It is very clean, staff is welcoming to human and dog visitors alike. Situated in an area that has plenty of sidewalks for leisurely dog walks. A great place to kick back for a few days of R&R. Another bonus, the complimentary breakfast is far beyond what you get at a chain hotel. Served in the original dining room of the hotel, or on the adjacent sun porch.

  Sweetest and Nicest night desk manager

  This hotel was a awesome resort for my ESA puppy, Poco enjoyed visiting with his new found friends Gigi and Bella. Plus Mom and Dad enjoyed the full service continental breakfast. Hotel is close to a beautiful dog park. Room are very clean and the staff did a awesome job on keep up our room. Hotel gives a old fashion feel with mordern day functions. The only con is its close to a very busy road and the pool was to close to it...hard to relax next to it! Overall, I highly recommend.

  A Quiet Respite

  I was delighted with my stay at the Crystal Bay Hotel!! The staff was very warm and welcoming. They showed delight in greeting my pup. My room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The hotel is close to the beach but away from the noise and frenzy. Breakfast was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. My stay was amazing!!

  As soon as we walked in the hospitality surpasses any chain hotel. I will recommend this place for any of my family and friends coming down to see us . Since we are relocating from NY. They absolutely loved our dog as soon as he came in to Crystal Bay Hotel... After 3 days on the road they made us feel at home.
