For a hotel that is supposed to be dog friendly, I was made to feel that my dog was only grudgingly allowed at the hotel. Upon check-in one of the individuals at the desk told me that should my (even kenneled) dog bark when we were not in the room,animal control would be called and the dog removed. The person made it clear that dealing with animal control would not be a pleasant experience. It is not just that this was said to me but that said to in such a callous manner. As a result, to make sure animal control was not called, I boarded my dog those times I would have otherwise left him kenneled in the room. Bath tub & shower curtain had black mold.

Pets are restricted to one wing which appears run down compared to the remainder of the hotel. There is very, very minimal outdoor space for walking/a dogs out in the immediate area. The front desk help was not super friendly or helpful at the time of our stay. No additional space in the rooms for a dog bed and we were placed on the top floor.

We loved the place, and the daytime staff (including the manager) was very helpful and friendly. They made sure we have convenient access to the parking lot from our room. This was important as we were going to be coming and going quite a bit to visit family in Estes Park and the national park. We also needed to take our doggie out to relieve himself. The staff when we checked in mid-evening, though, was less than helpful: On check-in, although there was an entrance/exit door (leading to the parking lot) 4 feet from the room, they pointed us to an entrance well away from the room. This resulted in more than one trip to get to the room, negotiate whether we needed to take stairs, and to move our bags from our car to the room. To compound matters, our room key did not allow us to enter the hotel through the convenient entrance. After I took my doggie out for a morning walk, I found the convenient way in and out. The manager helped us by getting us new keys.
