  This is a wonderful property, and the only reason I didn’t give it 5 bones is because the no contact check-in was a hassle for me, who is less technologically inclined. Codes for your room come in an email, which I didn’t know until I got there and had to call because there was no office. The lady was super nice, and walked me through it. I didn’t like having to enter a key code to enter my room, and I could not get the app to work to use my phone as the key. The room and grounds are lovely, and it’s in a great location. Plenty of places to walk with the dog. I would stay here again.

  Charming Place

  Room was spacious and updated. Nice to have the balcony. Having a shared kitchen space is brilliant. More places should do that. Truly dog friendly people. Heard on our last day that the place was sold. Hope it doesn't change.

  Hidden nugget!

  This is my second time staying here. The room has been renovated since the last time I stayed here. It was perfect for me and my 2 pups. The room is nicely decorated and provides for some amenities to make for a comfortable stay. It’s walkable from downtown Lake Placid and it has a grass area that overlooks the lake. We didn’t make a fire although that’s an option. We sat out there and enjoyed the fresh air. They also have a “kitchen” which is a lovely communal area where you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee provided by the lodge OR use their oven, microwave etc to make/heat up your own food. Staff was really helpful throughout our stay.

  Charming Inn in Great Location

  A wonderful lodge setting a short 5 minute walk from downtown Lake Placid. Firepit at night weather permitting. Rooms are clean and comfortable although daily cleaning service is not provided given Covid restrictions. Very clean communal kitchen with complimentary coffee. Grassy hill nearby for your pet to visit. Highly recommended.

  Town House Lodge is awesome!

  We had a great time visiting with our dog. The community kitchen, salt water pool, propane grill by the pool and a fire pit set up with Adirondack chairs and S’mores was awesome. We will come back!

  A Dog's Life

  Our pup was thrilled to join us on our trip to Lake Placid. Our Room was comfortable, accessible to town and we had kitchen resources. Just what we were looking for!

  Don’t Miss Town House Lodge!

  We stayed three nights at Town House Lodge with our mini golden doodle Kiki. I booked the room as it was one of the few places that didn’t charge extra to have a dog stay. You give them a deposit and they refund it after your stay if there’s no damage. They have poop bag stations in various places, and there’s a nice yard area across the driveway that you could probably use when there’s not so much snow. There’s no dog beds or dog dishes in the rooms, which I wasn’t expecting anyway. This is the first time we’ve traveled with our dog so I’m not really sure what other places might provide. I also booked because many reviews talked about how clean the place was, and they were right. I didn’t see a single speck of dirt anywhere! The room and the communal kitchen we used were absolutely spotless. The communal kitchen is beautiful, and has everything you could possibly need to cook anything. There’s even a crockpot! We ate our takeout food in there our third night, and it was lovely. There’s a nice table and benches as well as a counter area to sit at. There’s also a TV with couch and chairs to relax on. It’s in a good location as it’s in town but not in the really congested center area of town. We found some nice hiking trails that were close by. This place has been family-owned since 1956, and they really know what they’re doing. They even cleaned the snow off our car for us! I will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here to anyone.

  this is the most wonderful, accomodating place i have ever stayed..dog or no dog. i felt so welcome and comfortable as if i was visiting friends
