Very unexpectedly, we found the restaurant and bar at the Niagara Riverside to be beyond excellent! And eating outside with our little pooch made for a great experience!

For very little money we had a large, clean room with a king bed. Plenty of room for both of us and our dog! (And they were kind enough to forgo the “pet fee” because our dog is so little.). Very happy with the accommodations. Awesome value.

This hotel has a lot of potential but seemed to be trying to cut costs in very strange ways considering the price. The carpet was so dirty we left footprints on the wet bathroom floor, our kitchenette didn’t have any plates/bowls/utensils, and this was one of the loudest hotels I’ve ever experienced. For dog-specific issues, you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the grass area, and there are no lights or trash cans in the yard.

We arrived at hotel at 3:45 AM after making a late reservation. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Our 70 lb poodle was welcomed. Of course, he was perfectly behaved. Hotel is nice but its a 4 mile walk to the falls.

The hotel is nice with a nice view of the river. The staff is all very kind. With the exception of one desk clerk and a tiny female that would carry an entire tray of food like a boss, the rest of the restaurant staff were incompetent, lazy and lacked basic common sense or courtesy. They were unable to anticipate guest needs and accommodate a dinner rush apparently. Aside from that, charging for parking at the hotel you already paid to stay at is absurd. The dog was happy even though the extra $75 for him to stay was absurd as well.

Beautiful spot on the river, but hazardous because there is no barrier along boardwalk to prevent falling in. Staff were very welcoming and dog friendly. Booking site is misleading… only suites have microwaves, so you need to go to the Best Western site to get full room description.

We had an extraordinary stay at the Niagara Riverside Resort. There was a wonderful view of the river, a clean comfortable room, pleasant staff, good value, and dog friendly. The property (formally the Four Points by Sheraton) recently rebranded and that often times means that the hotel is in trouble, but not here. The amenities abound, including, a pleasing swimming pool, in house Bella Vista Ristorante (serving an awesome beef on weck), fire pits and lounge chairs beside the river's shore, and, only four miles away from Niagara State Park. This hotel has been getting mixed reviews but to quote Brian from Monty Python's Life of Brian, "There's just no pleasing some people."
