Since getting out pup, traveling has been a bit of a challenge. This hotel was fine, with friendly staff and fellow lodgers. Also, the pet fee is very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.

Good location in heart of old town, however quite loud street and train noise. Plus busy hotel with many people talking loudly outside rooms. The room was large and clean, but needed updating and had a funny musty odor. Although hotel states it has relief areas with bags for dogs, I did not find this to be true. Only small patches of grass here and there with not poop bags in sight. The area is also somewhat industrial so taking dogs outside later in the evening did not feel very safe in the dark. Check-in was easy and clerk friendly. Parking is available, but tight so arrive early if you want a spot close to your room. Price seemed a bit high for accommodations, not sure I would stay here again unless in a pinch to find a better room.

Staff was welcoming and amazing friendly with my hound. My dog can get a little nervous in new locations, but the beautiful grounds and overall quiet atmosphere put him at ease. Old Town San Diego was close enough to walk to from the hotel & dog friendly too. The room was clean and nice.

Nice hotel in Ol Town. Has a vintage feel but well kept up. Walking distance to the Old Town Historic Park, the trolley and light rail. Would definitely stay here again.

A nice, clean and family-friendly hotel. We were happy to find a room that was dog friendly & welcoming. Good location, 10 minute drive time to dog beaches, and very close to Old Town. The grounds are beautiful. I really loved the flowers & landscaping!

We visited during the pandemic, so it was quiet and just what we needed for a no-frills base to explore the area. It wasn't clear where to take the dog, so we used the grass by the sidewalk. It's a short walk from Old Town (below the freeway and train station), but otherwise not a happening neighborhood, but quite centrally located and equidistance to the beach, Coronado, downtown, Balboa Park, and North Park. Tip: If you tire of fish tacos and microbrews, try Convent Ave in Kearny Mesa for excellent Korean food!
