The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 is because there’s not a lot of dog walking areas. They should print a little map to include nearby parks. In a pinch there’s a bank lot in the back (that isn’t clean) & a very popular court house lawn across the street. We could hear the person next door going in & out all night, yelling a bit & slamming the door. (No doubt sport & alcohol related). All that said, the rooms are comfortable, the food & beverages good, and the staff excellent.

The room was right near the elevator for easy in and out. I would of preferred a lower level room but otherwise very nice experience.

Cool hotel, clean beds, and the lobby was a sort of bustling place with pool and a bar and games. And no dog fee!

Loved this hotel and the rooms, beautifully put together. HOWEVER, if you stay here MAKE SURE YOUR CAR DOORS ARE LOCKED. We accidentally made the mistake of not double checking. We are traveling across country and they took over $3,000 in valuables. Otherwise, great hotel.

On a cross-country drive with our pup, we mostly stayed in clustered motels on the outskirts of towns, where there was plenty of grass for pup activities and little in the way of distraction. Our night at Aloft South Bend was a welcome change! Sidewalks, delicious-smelling eateries, and best of all, elevator to our room on a high floor with windows facing a city! The room was chic, the bed was great, service at the front desk was welcoming. We'd stay there again!!

Great stay. No pet charge. Very dog friendly. Recommend highly when visiting the area.

They tried to put a new Aloft in an old building. The pet friendly room had carpet which is a big no in my book. it was smelly and I didn’t want to walk on it without shoes. Also, there is no pet relief area and the outside surroundings were not ideal. I was charged $15 for self parking in hotel parking then had to pay $10 to get out of the lot. No one told us to keep our room key to get out.
