The hotel was really nice, but the only place to take your dog to pee is across the street - to a park with tons of people hanging around in the dark. We stayed here for our long haul drive from Florida to Michigan, and our pup needed to use the restroom when we arrived at 3am. The people hanging around this park so late freaked me out, especially as a woman alone. Also, parking was $30, which was a bummer because we were only there for about 4 hours and the hotel itself was already expensive. Would’ve been a nice spot if it were just me and my husband though!

My dog did not get anxiety attacks when staying at this hotel, including the ride in the elevator. The people at the front desk and valet parking were very nice and helpful. The park nearby was a great way to walk your dog.

Our first stay at the Kimpton was fantastic! This one not so much. We valet parked the car and I requested assistance with the luggage, and instead of a bellhop being called, I was given a cart. Next, I asked for a room located in a quieter area because the last room we had there was not all that quiet - I was given a room across the hall from either maintenance or cleaning where they opened and slammed their door over and over again starting early in the morning. I then asked for a "do not disturb" door tag, and it took me calling the front desk 4 times over 2 days before we were given one. I understand the hotel was busy and may have been understaffed, but the service and experience this time didn't match up with the cost per night to stay there. We will try other pet-friendly hotels in the area when we return to Charlotte.
