We always love traveling with our dogs. Some hotels allow you to leave your dogs in the room while you sightsee, while others say you can’t leave them in the room unattended. This hotel is the latter. Our dogs are well trained, one is old and has arthritis and cancer, and the hotel policy is that every time you leave, be it for dinners, museums, movies, etc., your dogs must come with you. That defeats the purpose of being dog friendly. Sandman has a pet fee per night. I assume that’s if the dogs destroy something. Then why can’t they be left in the hotel. It’s a policy borne from bad pet parents that make the good pet parents suffer. If there’s a problem, then hotel staff should address it. Otherwise, they should be more accommodating.

Nice hotel, say check in, noisy fan in room. We weren’t given the welcome doggy bag that other reviewers mentioned, but we would go back.

We found a great dog park and river walk spot about 5 min from the hotel. Very clean and overall nice stay!

There is a pet fee, but otherwise this was a very nice place to stay, and it felt like my dog was welcome and not just tolerated.

Pup and I were welcomed, and given an upgrade to a corporate suite for the same price. Nice to have the extra room for running and playing!

The staff was amazing , they even had a puppy gift for our dogs. We brought 5 dogs into the hotel with no problem the Sales Manager and General Manager were awesome the rooms were very clean and well kept. I would recommend this hotel to any one!
