  Right off I-95

  We have found that this location works great as a midpoint from Miami to the DC Metro area. They have basic rooms, good size bathroom and wood laminate flooring. On our last stay we reserved a King size bed for a little more but received to queen size beds instead. They should offer to refund the difference. They have a free breakfast but we don’t have it and hit the road early. The room we had last night had mold on the shower and sink. The AC did not cool the room and it felt a little humid. You can’t beat the price. No need to break the bank for a one night stay as we plow into the second half of our trip. We plan to stay here in the future.

  There was no hand soap in the bathroom. An inconvenience but one could use the soap canister in the shower. There were only two plastic cups for water for two adults — no cup in the bathroom. Also an inconvenience. When I started to make coffee this morning I found that one of the plastic wrapped paper cups was wet. When I unwrapped it I found it was a used coffee cup that had been rinsed out — there was still a coffee stain on the seam of the cup. Yuck.

  When I reported it to the reception desk when I checked out, the world-weary receptionist practically yawned in my face, and just said “Yes, ma’am.” When I said this was unacceptable housekeeping (to say the least) she repeated, “Yes, ma’am, and then added, “I’ll report it to housekeeping.” No apology, no “that should never have happened,” no “we will certainly do better in the future.” When I said that I had stayed at many La Quintas because my dog was with me, but I would never stay here again, her response was “Yes, ma’am. You have a nice day.” Unbelievably poor service, and treating me like a “Karen” was simply adding insult to injury. AVOID THIS HOTEL at all costs. The breakfast was also poor.

  Great stay - super dog-friendly

  I think this hotel has had some upgrades done. We had a great, quiet room. The walking area, grass, and poop stations were fantastic. It would have been helpful to have ice/water machine on each floor- we only saw it off the lobby. Not a big deal. We took advantage of the fire-pit patio by the pool to relax a bit from a day of long travels. Our medium-size dog was quite popular there- a good boy that was good with everything!

  [Translated from French] Not well organized for dogs. Room on the 2nd floor, no carpet, no dog allowed in the room unless it is in a cage. For breakfast there wasn't much choice, no eggs or bacon or sausages, only bagel toast muffins really the minimum. We could take the dog down to the room where we ate but not go to the section where we ate. The hotel seems new.

  This place was awesome. New, very clean. Pet rooms had easy access to outside. Staff was wonderful. The only issue was the pet owners that had no respect for the wonderful pet area. There were people who did not clean up after their pets to the point that they even let them go on the basketball court and did not clean up after them. Very disrespectful.

  We stayed overnight on our way north. Very dog friendly. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. Other dog owners were considerate and gave everyone space. I would stay again.

  We stay here every year on our way down to Florida and on our way back to Pennsylvania. The front desk is always friendly and polite. They make you feel welcome as soon as you come through the doors. Our little dog Maxwell walks the halls like he owns the place. We get the pet friendly room and it is large and the beds are comfortable. The couch could be a little more comfortable. I really can’t find anything wrong with this hotel. The price is right and you do get a hot breakfast and steaming coffee. Give it a try, You honestly can’t go wrong and you’ll get a good night's sleep 💤 Definitely will be back!

  The La Quinta in Brunswick, Georgia is directly off I-95 and seems to be fairly new. Our room was clean and our pup was fine. I have some criticism about the lack of lighting in the room and dirty upholstery but it’s minor. We would go back.

  Nice place to stop for the night

  Good place to overnight with your dog. Seems like the whole second floor would agree, as there were so many happy dog owners sharing the floor with us. Amazingly, it was quiet on our floor too. Perhaps Good insulation between rooms or perhaps they were all very well behaved dogs. They all seemed friendly and good but as quiet as it was I would guess the insulation was good too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would be happy to stay there again!

  The first impression upon entering room was great. However, there were some issues. First and worst was the noise from the floor above us. Could hear them walking loudly, maybe kids running up and down hallway above? Fitted sheet is not fitted, it was awful!! Toilet paper holder ready to fall off the wall. Shower knob came off in my hand. Thought this was a newer hotel.

  Modern, hotel with ample space for dog walks. Provide bags and receptacles. Vinyl plank floors in pet friendly rooms. A little more attention to floors would be nice and found an empty sofa can in an inconspicuous spot in the room. Took off one bone for cleanliness, but all in all a nice room. We would stay again.

  The hotel is in a campus with several other hotels close by. Good amount of green space for our dog walks, but there is not an enclosed, fenced-in dog yard. The room was dog friendly with vinyl floors that are easy to clean. Liked the 2 tv setup! Hubby watched football while I could watch a movie on the other.
  Bathroom shower water dial was broken and we thought the room lighting was on the dark side. Pet fee is very fair! We would definitely stay here again and we would recommend others stay here too!

  Great hotel, dog friendly, clean and very attractive. They had lots of grass all around the hotel. Our room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. We stayed for one night while traveling on the 95 through the East Coast states. Not a lot to do around the hotel so I would not suggest staying there as a "fun place" hotel, but great for passing through.

  Great location off interstate. Check-in was quick and easy. Rooms were nicely up to date and clean. Our service dog was with us but it is pet friendly. Breakfast was good with the normal breakfast items and replenished as needed. A nice environment in both the lobby and dining area. We would stay here again.

  So simple bringing a pet. Hotel floors are non carpeted, clean and the rooms are fairly new. Great for a quick overnight if you’re traveling through I-95. My ONLY recommendation for the hotel is that they had a fenced in dog area in the back because the property is wide open to the highway but other than that it was great.

  This hotel is a gem along I95. I’m grateful that I found it! Book here!!! They are short staffed (due to Covid, I’m sure), but I didn’t need or want anything except a clean, comfortable room. The front desk person appeared tired and distracted but fast and efficient. Remember, be kind and generous to the people who are working to serve us during a pandemic.

  Nice Room & Only $40 for both dogs

  The rooms were nice, had a nice grass area for the dogs. We had some very strange experiences at this hotel. The electricity in just our room (no other guests) wouldn’t work, none of the lights, appliances, etc. We went down to tell the front desk, and they changed our room. They changed our room from a Deluxe King to a Standard King, when we asked if we could be put back in a Deluxe, they had none others available (other than the one without electricity), but no compensation was made. Then our room key stopped working 4 times in one night. The key was never near a device or our phones. We went down to the front desk to tell them our key wasn’t working, they issued a new key and said we would need to go back to our room to make sure the new one worked. Go up to the 4th floor, it didn’t work. Went back downstairs, had to get some stuff for the dogs from the car, key didn’t work to get back in the building. Walked around to the entrance, back to front desk, requested a new key, this happens 4 times. We were only there one night.

  The new La Quintas are nice

  At the beginning of our trip, I was surprised to find La Quintas are mostly all charging for dogs now. Oy. My initial grumpiness about that is my experience has been they are all nasty and smell like people let their dogs pee all over the rooms, but I also loathe paying $75-150 per fee at Marriott when my dogs are not messy at all. They go in the room, eat a little food, drink a little water and lay on their bed until morning. I also know hotels do not always (barely ever)deep clean when they say that is what the charge is for.
  Well, these new ones are shiny and they don’t smell anymore! Getting rid of the carpet in the rooms is a major plus. Lots of space in the King rooms with a sofa and two TVs. They are also not as loud so likely better insulated between rooms.

  This place exceeded our expectations! The staff was so friendly and the rooms were very nice! Walk in shower so it was easy to give Monkey a bath after a day at the beach. The floors were not carpeted so there was no odor! Noise wasn't too bad minus a few occasions. There were A LOT of dogs staying there, so barks were shared but overall it was a great stay! Next time we will probably request a ground level room for midnight potty needs.

  We stayed at this hotel last night. The rooms are prefect for pets - no rugs. My only issue was the noise from the rooms around us -TV's played very loud. Even after switching rooms we still had issues.

  What a great place. The hotel is less than 2 years old, is clean and modern, and they LOVE dogs! There's a great outdoor area with BBQs, table, giant chess, mini golf, basketball and poop cleanup stations. All right next to a nice pond with fountain and geese. The rooms are large, there's laminate flooring and comfy beds. We got the "deluxe" room which had two queens, a separate sitting area with sofabed and TV, a second TV across from the beds, and a kitchen area with microwave, sink, full-size fridge with separate freezer and a dishwasher! The drawers were stocked with silverware and plates/bowls too. Great location right off 95 and just a short trip to Jekyll Island. Will definitely be coming back!

  This property has a very limited number of rooms on the ground floor. They are next to the exit. Normally that is a good thing, except this evening someone came in and out that door all night long till the morning hours. I would suggest a 2nd floor room. The rooms have laminate flooring which is great for the pups. This property has several doggie stations and plenty of green spaces. Overall it is a great property.

  I rarely see a hotel with this many great reviews and they didn’t disappoint. The hotel is new, clean, and very pet and people friendly. The front desk attendant was helpful. The outdoor amenities are awesome! (Basketball court, Giant lawn chess, a little mini golf spot, a pool, and an outdoor kitchen/grilling area!) It’s also CLEAN. We will stop here again and again. Highly recommend.

  One of the best La Quintas

  This hotel exceeded my expectations, I stayed in a king size room with a sofa bed, it was quite spacious. Lots of room for my dogs. Bed was comfy and there was a TV for viewing from the bed as well as one for viewing from the sofa. I didn't pull out the sofa bed, but the sofa itself was comfy. Lots of outlets and a nice size bathroom. Bathroom lighting was a bit harsh, like a giant makeup mirror but some women may like that, personally I prefer a softer light.

  Furnishings were modern, clean and the overall look of the room was outstanding. No carpeting, everything appeared clean and appealing. We did not experience much noise. The hotel rooms had interior entrances which I sometimes find disruptive to the dogs (the sounds of doors open/closing is more audible vs. exterior entrances), however it wasn't a problem - no barking.

  The grounds were great, a designated area for dogs to go potty with poop bags and trash cans for disposal. Oversized chess game and a basketball court. There is also a large undeveloped lot next door. The facility also has two fire pits, a couple of grills and a mediocre sized pool that was handicap accessible. Located off a major road near a small mall and other hotels. The facility seems newer, I hope patrons are respectful and keep it nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly, and the morning breakfast offered a variety of hot/cold selections (scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage, cereal, pastries, waffle maker, toast/bagels, etc.).

  The only reason no 5 stars is that I was unpleasantly surprised this particular La Quinta charges a pet fee of $20 per pet per night. Not knowing in advance booking the Front Desk/Mngr only charged me for one dog which was appreciated but in all honesty part of the reason I selected this hotel was the impression La Quinta's do not charge a dog fee. If I had to pay an extra $40 per night, for budget reasons I'd likely select another location. There are other more cost-effective dog-friendly hotels in the area, but they are likely not as nice.
