I can't say enough good things about the Entrada Escalante Lodge. Our stay here was truly magical, from the thoughtful touches like fresh creamer in fridge for morning coffee and snacks (including some gluten free options), to the idyllic setting, to the beautiful craftsmanship of the lodge, including the large overhangs and posts, thoughtful screening and lovely patio area. This place is hands down the best boutique lodge experience we've had -- we didn't want to leave.
Escalante is a bit of a trek from major interstates, but well worth the drive. Plan accordingly to make sure you arrive in daylight hours, so you can enjoy the scenery along the way. We did not do this, unfortunately, so we arrived a bit late and in the dark. After a long day of driving, we unpacked out car, settled into the beautiful suite, and then stepped out to take in the beautiful starry sky and accidentally locked ourselves out of the room! The hosts are very kind and accommodating -- they even graciously came to our rescue well after the office close to get us back in the room. We are looking forward to returning.

The minute we opened the door to our unit we fell in love. Spacious, lovely outdoor patio with extraordinary views. A perfect kitchen area, two comfy queen beds, exceptional and thoughtful amenities. - Plus the willing host to amuse our Fido during our day hike. We couldn’t have found a more perfect stay in this extraordinary gateway to spectacular and endless places to explore. Stay here!

Entrada Escalante Lodge was a great find for human and dog! Located in beautiful and scenic Escalante this location did my human soul good and my dog companion loved how friendly the dog owners of the Lodge were! We both felt so welcome and we both loved the location. WE WILL BE BACK!

Great room. Terry and Wendy (proprietors) gave us some great tips for sightseeing in the area (Devil's Backboone and the Slot Canyon). They have a couple of dogs as well so they are definitely dog-people. We visited right before Thanksgiving and there weren't a lot of choices for restaurants. It should be better in spring, summer, and fall. We will be back and will stay longer!

My husband and I highly recommend the Entrada! They're one of the only pet friendly hotels in Escalante City & they truly care about your furbabies! The manager on site is also a dog trainer/pet sitter/pet photographer & has been for over 15 years...what's better than that?! I can't recommend this place enough. <3
