Reviews
- RayMay 30, 2024Accommodating but not favorable
Some hotel staff had mix reactions while my dog was there. I found this hotel to be only accommodating not favorable for dogs. Limited places your dog could go within the hotel.
- RandiFeb 18, 2024Could be more pet friendly
I would say this place allows pets but is not “pet friendly.” They don’t allow pets on the patios, which makes zero sense to me. But the staff is great. Accommodations lovely. Maybe kind of a shady area of town. But the beach was beautiful.
- JohannaFeb 12, 2024Very dog friendly hotel
All the staff were just terrific with our dog, Moby. The bartender came over to pet him between making folks drinks and delivering food, the front desk folks encouraged us to take too many treats, and the housekeeping staff and valet were all friendly. Couldn’t ask for anything more!
- NicoleNov 24, 2023Great for dogs
Enjoyed our time here. It had a great set up for the dogs. Since we came offseason the dogs could be on the beach any time. They loved the ocean and the beach
- SusanNov 20, 2023Wonderful!
Great service! Nice warm buffet breakfast. Beautiful view right on the beach. Nice pool. Two beautiful outside areas around raised propane fire pit areas. Nice casual dinner or lunch. Great location!😊
- Oct 6, 2023Great For Pets!
Most pet friendly hotel where we’ve ever stayed. Superb room and amenities.
- LisaAug 21, 2023Rude staff
I walked in, was greeted by the front desk receptionist, and pretty much told my dog couldn’t really go anywhere. Not to the free breakfast that I paid for in the morning or to the restaurant. I said what am I supposed to do? And she told me I could leave him in the room, but I didn't want to leave him alone in the room. He’s traumatized enough with the travel. She said they could watch him. Nobody watches my dog and they were not accommodating at all. It was a horrible experience. He was so good and quiet and it just was a terrible experience. I will never go there again
- DeborahAug 19, 2023Very dog friendly
Oceanfront on beach so very easy to access the beach which the dogs loved. Nice vinyl floors in room. Gave tag for dog that said pet inside. Hotel does not have much of a room cleaning service though that seems to be the trend these days. The cleaning is what knocked down the rating by one bone. Dogs were very comfortable there. Would definitely stay again.
- CharlesFeb 20, 2023Good stay
Nice place. Too much going on for pets. Their damage price is too much. The dog rest area is small and most people do not clean up after their dogs. But nice room.
- KristenJan 1, 2023Awesome place to stay
The hotel is beautiful and our room was spacious, clean and modern. The balcony was wide and a great place to enjoy the scenery and relax with a drink. There were dogs everywhere which made us happy. The free breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold items. We ordered dinner at the bar each night and sat with our dogs at the tables in the common area to eat. The food was outstanding. The bar staff was very friendly and accommodating to our dogs and to us.
They have a large, grassy area behind the hotel to walk the dogs and cleanup bags are provided. The pool area looked nice, but we didn't use it. The guest laundry was convenient and we did a few loads during our stay. They sell detergent in the market area and the machines take credit cards so no need to look for quarters. Our only complaint was that the front desk staff wasn't very friendly. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.
- KatherineDec 18, 2022Great
Excellent stay.
- NinaOct 13, 2022Very Impressed
Nice hotel on the beach. Room was spotless when we checked it. Will be back with our Lola.
- GerhardtOct 9, 2022Marriott was the best
After getting refused by Hilton garden in due the weight of our dog Gus, we used the BringFido recommended place, Marriott MB Oceanfront! They were awesome! They waived the pet fee because we were staying only one night, had a better price, had free breakfast, a dog park and super nice; and we got and ocean view room. Boom!
- LisaSep 21, 2022Dog Friendly
Laminate floor in rooms, grass area in back of property. No issues, lots of dogs there during our stay.
- CherylSep 11, 2022Can’t wait to go back
Hotel was great, we had an oceanfront king room. It was much larger than expected, with a great kitchenette (micro, 2 burner stove, dishwasher and full size fridge), comfortable bed and large L shaped sofa next to the balcony. No carpet so no worries about pet hair, let slober keep sand. Fantastic dog area out back. Dogs are allowed on the beach after Labor Day so that was a massive plus. (They are allowed early am and after 5 in the summer). Staff was super friendly.
- JohnSep 6, 2022Pretty Decent and Pet Friendly
We stayed at the Residence Inn Aug 19-26th. Stayed here cuz it’s pet friendly. We took our two dogs with us. Had a oceanfront studio w/ king bed. Room was clean and spacey. Bathroom was nice and big. Only negatives for the room is the “full kitchen” doesn’t have an oven and there needs to be a light above the mirror in the bathroom (for the woman). The walk in shower is nice and big but the water does splash out on the floor with only the half door design. After about the 4th day the shower started draining slow. I lifted the metal plate and there was hair over the drain. Easy fix.
We did have issue with running out of hot water 3 times. Not sure what that was about. The hotel itself is nice. Layout is pretty stupid with having to use one elevator for the parking garage and then there’s only 2 floors to access elevators to all the room floors. There was a couple times we had to “wait” on the elevator but it wasn’t as bad as some of the other reviews state. Maybe in the middle of peak season but we did t have an issue. Once u learn the layout of the land it’s not bad but a dumb design on the architect who designed the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was good. Different hot food everyday. The bar and grill on the 2nd floor has good food but a little pricey.
The food truck that sits outside the pool area was da bomb. We ate there our last day and if we would of ate our first we would of ate there everyday. Pool looked nice but didn’t use it. We’re there for the beach. Nice big pet relief area. Somewhat clean but the dirtiness is the guest fault for not cleaning up after there dogs and throwing there chicken bones out there. Although they keep the grass green they could turn off the automatic sprinklers when there’s a lot of rain. Did make it soggy.
The only other caveat is how the hotel charges you $500 for “incidentals”. And the $15 a day resort fee is stupid. Most hotels down there charge a resort fee and take a “deposit” for damages but they only put a “hold” on ur card instead of actually charging it and it’s usually around $150. I’m not docking the place for not having everyday room service cuz well that’s everyplace now thanks to the fakedemic. We had no problem getting towels and toiletries when needed. Overall I would stay there again if I got a discount of some kind. It’s nice but not sure it’s worth what we paid.
- TaraJul 1, 2022Great Hotel!
Very nice hotel, great beach views, nice rooms!
- JamesMay 21, 2022On the beach dog friendly
Staff and patrons staying here were courteous and wonderful with my 93 lb. German Shepherd Odin. Entire staff at restaurant and bar were exceptional, especially Mike the new bartender. Entire staff was above and beyond. Kudos in this post covid era, having high energy quality employees.
- JenniferMay 1, 2022Great location
Quiet neighborhood and close to everything.
- KATHRYNFeb 27, 2022Easy access to beach
Friendly staff and locals. We loved our beach walks!
- PaulFeb 17, 2022On the outskirts of town
Great beach access. Top shelf.
- DaveFeb 17, 2022Perfect location!
Beautiful, clean rooms right off of the beach. Very dog friendly.
- NASIYRAOct 16, 2021Great location
Excellent.
- SusanOct 9, 2021Perfect place on the beach!!
Myrtle Beach allows dogs on the beach after labor day, so we had a wonderful vacation! The Residence Inn is a great place to stay with dogs!!
- PamSep 28, 2021Right on the beach
The hotel was very dog friendly. We had an oceanfront king suite which was clean and roomy. There was a grassy area between the pools and the beach for pets. Easy access to the beach. As we were there after Labor Day, our dog was welcome on the beach at all times, which was excellent.
- WilliamSep 17, 2021Wonderful Facility
Great location. We were able to walk our dog on the beach in front of the hotel and the facility was very pet friendly.
- ShannonSep 15, 2021Weekend getaway
This hotel wad amazing and very welcoming. The only thing, we wish the dog area was fenced in so the dogs had a chance to be off leash. It is the only reason we gave it a 4 instead of 5. If we find ourselves in Myrtle Beach again we will be back. Room and bathroom was clean and updated. No lingering pet smells which is fantastic!
- DoraSep 14, 2021Great Place for Pets
Great place for pets. The potty area was one of the best I’ve seen. Great dog park with lake one mile away.
- EricaJul 17, 2021Great beachfront resort!
The hotel is lovely and right on the beach. Both the hotel and the beach are very dog friendly. There is a small grassy area for dogs equipped with poop bags. A great place to stay for a relaxing beach vacation with the whole family!
- MeganMay 29, 2021Great dog-friendly location
This hotel was definitely one of the nicest in this area (the area is ...not very nice I must say). The hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice and roomy. The oceanfront balcony was a big plus and our 45-pound Shepherd mix loved it! They had a nice, big green space for potty breaks. One note: plan for time to wait for the elevators each day. Not sure if they just have too few elevators for the amount of rooms they have or what, but it was rough. Overall, a nice experience!
- LoriApr 26, 20212 night stay
95% of your staff were very pleasant. We were going to eat in on Saturday but the bar tender was curt in her response to a question we had. She has no servers and we decided to go out to eat instead. Room was nice. Would have been great if we had enough towels and washcloths for more than 1 day instead of having to call for more daily. Most annoying was the wait for elevator from the parking decks.
- ClaudiaMar 17, 2021Best location in Myrtle
Beautiful rooms! Very clean place. Nice staff. Great pet grassy area with waste bags.had problems with smokers on balcony called front desk they dealt with it. Wish they served hot breakfast hopefully soon. Highly recommend this place!
- JenniferFeb 26, 2021Friendly
I love that we could take our pup, Gibbs, everywhere it felt like a complete family vacation!

- MaryMay 23, 2020Good location
We visited right after SC reopened from Covid 19. Probably should have waited longer. They didn't tell me at reservation or check-in that they were not servicing the rooms.
- DebraApr 8, 2020Great beachfront location
Excellent location and amenities for a pup!
- LisaMar 16, 2020Great spot and friendly staff
Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. They treated our golden doodle like he was a special guest.
- LynetteFeb 16, 2020Great Oceanfront Hotel
We loved our stay at the Residence Inn. It is in a great location, close enough to everything but still quiet, and with private entrance to the beach. Our room had a large oceanfront balcony that our dog loved. There is a pet relief station right on the hotel grounds. Everyone was very welcoming of our dog and super friendly staff. Excellent breakfast each morning included in price.
