What a great place!

Code Beer Company

Wow! This place is awesome. The beer and staff were phenomenal. Our dogs were welcomed and they had bowls and ice water available for them. A food truck was parked out front serving pizza and the food truck owner was just as nice! A great way to spend an hour or two.

Fun Zoo

Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo

The zoo activities are spread out and there's lots of walking. It was very hot so we rented a golf cart and it was well worth the cost. Get there early or reserve a day ahead if you want one. We took the dogs on the cave tour would advise that you heed their warnings about difficult terrain, especially if you have an older or larger dog. The stairs are narrow and the spaces are tight so be extra careful.

Great place to hang with your dog

The Sneaky Beagle

They have lots of dog friendly seating including some that's covered for rainy days. The staff is welcoming and the food was good. They have lots of really cute t-shirts to purchase too.

Great Place

Brown Dog Deli

The whole staff was friendly towards our dogs. The location on Broad St has a nice shaded patio in back and the server made sure our dogs had a bowl of fresh water. The food was good and the t-shirts they sell are so cute and come in some nice colors.

Awesome place to stay

Residence Inn by Marriott Myrtle Beach Oceanfront

The hotel is beautiful and our room was spacious, clean and modern. The balcony was wide and a great place to enjoy the scenery and relax with a drink. There were dogs everywhere which made us happy. The free breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold items. We ordered dinner at the bar each night and sat with our dogs at the tables in the common area to eat. The food was outstanding. The bar staff was very friendly and accommodating to our dogs and to us.

They have a large, grassy area behind the hotel to walk the dogs and cleanup bags are provided. The pool area looked nice, but we didn't use it. The guest laundry was convenient and we did a few loads during our stay. They sell detergent in the market area and the machines take credit cards so no need to look for quarters. Our only complaint was that the front desk staff wasn't very friendly. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Great Tour

Captain Mark's Dolphin Cruise

Captain Mark and crew were welcoming to our dogs. The tour was informative and we did see some dolphins 🐬, so we were happy. It drizzled for part of the tour but there's plenty of covered seating available on the boat.

Awesome Experience

Palmetto Carriage Works

The whole staff was extremely welcoming to our dogs. We booked a whole row in the carriage so we'd have plenty of space. It was worth it. They sat us in the first row so the dogs could choose to lie on the floor or sit on the bench. The guide was informative and we saw some neat sights. We had a great time.

Beautiful Grounds

Cypress Gardens

We went in December, when dogs are allowed. There are alligators in the area so you need to keep your dog leashed, close to you and be vigilant if you decide to walk the trail next to the swamp.

The area is beautiful and really cool if you're a fan of The Notebook, which I am.

They have a funny cockatiel who talks that provided us some unexpected entertainment.

Beautiful Park

Pineapple Fountain at Charleston Waterfront Park

Beautiful park right on the water. The pineapple fountain was crowded but worth the visit.

Terrible!

Saloon No. 10

We walked in on a Thursday night and there was maybe 10 people in the bar area. I wish I could say I was exaggerating, but I am not. We weren't a foot in the door, before the bartender literally screamed at us, "No, not tonight!" and we weren't allowed to enter with our two dogs. Very disappointed in them. I would give them zero bones if that were an option.

Mustang Sally's

The staff was friendly and our two dogs were welcomed on the patio. The milkshakes were good. We didn't eat, but the food looked good.

Great Dog-Friendly Resort

Mission Point Resort

The moment I read that Mission Point Resort was dog friendly, I immediately decided that this is where we were going to vacation. I was not disappointed.

My first trip through the front door, I saw a dog leisurely sitting on a lobby sofa surrounded by his family who were enjoying glasses of wine. Our two dogs were welcomed and were allowed just about everywhere at the resort and on the island in general. They were served in the lobby, Boxwood Cafe and at all outdoor patios. The servers brought them water at each meal. And when we needed a break from them, Pat, the Concierge, was able to find a pet sitter. Holly, the sitter, made our dogs at home in her room and sent us text updates to let us know how they were doing.

If you can't bring your dog, the resort has a resident Border Collie so you can get your dog-fix.

The resort has an old fashioned, classy feel to it. The staff service was superb and we couldn't be happier with our stay. We had an excellent time!

Great Tour

Dells Boat Tours

We went on the Upper Dells tour. It was just over two hours long. There's two land excursions during this particular tour so if your dog has to use the bathroom there's plenty of opportunity. The tour guides were infornarltive and the scenery was magnificent. We had a great time!
