Bluegill Cabin
Come and experience this cabin in the heart of beautiful countryside where you have plenty of room outdoors in your own personal space.
Bluegill Cabin is unique and has plenty of character with a rural setting with great views of trees and rolling meadows all around. You will enjoy sitting on the spacious, covered back deck that overlooks the serene pond just a few steps away.
We are located far enough off the beaten path, yet only a 8 min. drive to I-75 so you are close to London, KY, which is quickly becoming a popular tourist town with events taking place there year round. London also has many eateries, featuring hometown cooking to numerous popular chain restaurants.
As already mentioned, one of the highlights of this cabin is the beautiful half acre pond with a small floating dock, right in the backyard.
There is a hot tub on the back deck. You will enjoy relaxing in it while taking in all the fabulous views all around you.
Inside, you will find a comfortable queen size bed with a memory foam mattress is located on the main floor of the cabin.
A small loft bedroom is located on the second floor and has a full size bed. To access the second floor bedroom, you must climb up a ladder. This upstairs bedroom is not suitable for young children, elderly, or physically impaired persons. Note: the bedroom is closed off to conserve heat and/or air conditioning, if there are only 2 people registered at the cabin.
The cabin has original hardwood flooring in most of the rooms which gives it a rustic look. It even has a real tree trunk inside!
The kitchen is stocked with many amenities. It has a microwave, full size stove/oven, full size upright refrigerator, drip style coffee pot, crock pot, toaster and a blender, to name a few.
A genuine field stone floor to ceiling chimney separates the bedroom and living room area. Inside the chimney is a romantic gas log fireplace, which is operational between the month of early October to March.
The living room area has a Lazy Boy rocker recliner chair, sofa, and a flat screen 32" television.
The cabin has high speed internet of 100Mbps so you can steam movies from your device, or surf the internet.
There is one full bath, containing a tub/shower combination.
All of our cabins are owner managed, maintained, and cleaned, ensuring that you have the cleanest place available for your comfort.
There is an extra guest fee of $20.00 per person per night for parties over 2 people who will be staying. That means that if there are three or more people staying at the cabin, there is an extra guest fee for each person each night beginning with the third person. We require an additional (refundable) damage deposit of $150.00 for over three people staying.
If you have an ATV and like to ride at the nearby Wildcat Adventures off road park, we are a perfect place to stay for that. We are only a short 7 min. drive from the park. You can ride your ATV from the cabin to the park. Note To Wildcat Adventures Guests: Please inform me at the time of your reservation request that you will be going over to the ATV park. We will add this to your second payment you will make on your reservation, or, if you are making only one payment, it will be added onto your reservation. You will get it returned back to you after we clean the cabin and find that the house rules have been followed and find no damages.
You may want to have a campfire in the backyard fire pit. Watch the dancing flames and glowing embers while you sit under a starlit sky. Please note that we do not supply wood for the fire pit.
Your well behaved and housebroken pet is welcome to accompany you for an additional pet fee of $10.00 per night. Limit of two pets. (If you are going to book the cabin and bringing more than one pet, note that in the pet fee area to fill in, it is limited to one pet. If you are bringing two, you must fill the pet fee in for the first pet, and bring the other dog's pet fee with you when you check in, which is $10.00 per night). For your pets' safety, you must keep them leashed or tied up at all times when they are outdoors. Pets must be in a crate indoors if you are going to leave them alone. If you have plans to bring your pet, please mention this to us as you are making your reservation.
NOTE: This cabin is not suitable for parties, large gatherings, weddings or family reunions. Sorry, we do not allow any outside guests to visit, unless you get permission from us for them to visit. (We live on the same property where the cabin is located, so appropriate actions will be taken if this rule is being violated).
Your visit to this cabin would not be complete without a trip to Cumberland Falls State Park. The park has "The Niagara of the South" waterfalls. It also has hiking trails all around. Cumberland is about a 45 min. drive from the cabin.
Renfro Valley Music Center is only a 15 min. drive away. If you are a fan of country style music, you may want to check them out.
