THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Cape Island contains the municipalities of West Cape May, Cape May and Cape May Point. The apartment is centrally located in an historic residential neighborhood.
Cape Island offers BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN ARCHITECTURE. Cape May is a federally designated National Historic Landmark (NHL). There are about 2500 NHLs in the USA. Most of them are single buildings. Cape May is on as a landmark district because of the concentration of Victorian architecture.
Cape May's beaches are unique, especially for the Jersey Shore, in that they are south facing. You can watch the sun rise and set without ever losing sight of the ocean. Unlike the barrier island beaches that face east, since Cape May is not a barrier island, you don't get the biting flies that often are swept in from the wetlands with a westerly breeze.
Other Cape May accolades include:
~~ One of the TOP 20 FOOD CITIES IN THE USA (Conde Nast Traveler)
~~ One of the TOP TEN US BEACHES by THE TRAVEL CHANNEL
~~ TOPS THE LIST of "The 10 MOST BEAUTIFUL COASTAL TOWNS IN THE USA" published by
~~ One of the 10 BEST BIRDWATCHING SPOTS IN THE USA by USA Today
~~ One of the 9 BEST BEACH TOWNS FOR FOOD (IN THE WORLD) by The Daily Meal
