  It's the desert, folks!

  We were there at the end of April, 2023. Jonathan checked us in and, after a long travel day, his great sense of humor was much appreciated. Room was great, hotel was clean and well kept, pool and hot tub are now back in service, breakfast was okay. Main issue was (as previously noted by another reviewer) the lack of any green space for our pampered pooch. Button made do but even a small patch of green would have been great. The area around the hotel where we walked while Button looked for her "spot" was quite uneven and not very well lit. So, perhaps not the best location for pet parents who are older, unsteady, etc. Otherwise, a definite good experience (we would have given an extra half star if we could). PS. There is a completely fenced dog park (with grass) a mile or so from the hotel. Button gave it a paws up.

  Second Class Citizen

  In a two story building we placed in room as far away front the main entrance as possible because we had a dog with us. Our room was on the second floor and we were advised told to enter from the back door which was very distant. The advertisement for the Baymont listed promoted an indoor pool and a hot breakfast. The pool was not open because of "renovations" and there was nothing hot about breakfast unless you wanted to make some toast.

  Hotel looks good, but not to Fido

  Cons: Front desk was not helpful on check in. No elevator, so we had to trek everything for us and our dog up the stairs. No offer from hotel staff to help. Also, when asked about a pet relief area, I was pointed to the desert on all sides. No fenced area to let him off leash or baggies for his donations to the desert. He also ended up with burrs and thorns on all 4 paws from a short foray to relieve himself. I do not consider this “pet friendly” at all.

  Aside from the pet issues, the room didn’t have any USB ports for phone charging. The fridge was inop. We thought it was just turned off, so we turned the dial all the way to the coldest setting. We didn’t know until the next morning that it was a actually broken. Pros: the manager, Dr. Dan was very nice when we checked out and the hotel looked nice. The room had a lot of space with 2 queen beds and a full sized leather couch.

  All dogs welcome

  I originally overlooked this hotel because it said small dogs only in the BringFido app, however I called to inquire as we have 2 80+ lb dogs and our options were slim. They confirmed dogs of any size could stay for no fee so we ended up staying here. The hotel room had a funky odor, our lamp didn’t work, breakfast was just toast and an orange. One of my pillows had a stain visible under the pillowcase which appeared to be blood but I didn’t investigate further, I just removed it from the bed and didn’t use. It was a long day and I was too tired to play musical hotel rooms. I would not stay here again by choice, especially for $120. Two bones because they actually allowed big dogs for free and the staff was friendly.

  Good location

  This hotel is a convenient location for a 1-night stop with your pet. Rooms are nice, manager is very friendly with your pet, decent breakfast included in the room.

  Some good, some not

  I like the beds in Baymont Inns, since they are especially comfortable. However, this place wasn't too pet friendly. No grass, no waste bags I could find, just rocks. A little disappointing.

  Baymont Holbrook the best!

  Wow, Baymont Inn and Suites your room was the absolute best! I recommend your lodging and would gladly stay again if I'm ever in Holbrook.

  Nice clean, quiet hotel

  First thing you need to know is there is no more "Lexington Inn". The only thing that remains is the Lexington Inn sign on I-40. The actual hotel you're booking is the Baymont Inn and Suites by Wyndham.
  The rooms were clean, smelled nice and somewhat recently updated. There is an included breakfast (which we did not have). Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of space to walk Fido around the hotel. One other thing of note is this hotel is only two stories but does not have an elevator. Not a big deal to most but some may find it very inconvenient. I would definitely stay here again if my travels landed my in Holbrook.

  Pleasantly Surprised

  We stayed for one night with our beagle and we were pleasantly surprised! The town is very small without the big chain hotels so we were skeptical but the price was great. The room was very spacious and clean, could do a better job at dusting but everything else was very clean. The shower was nice too, better than I expected. They had us near the exit steps which was great for my dog but the only con is there’s not a lot of grass outside. There’s a part in the back that has grass but it’s just a little inconvenient to walk all the way around to the back. The front desk employee did let us know there’s a dog park up the road. Other than that, for the price it was definitely worth it. We were comfortable and satisfied with our stay!

  Very accomodating!

  We needed to make an unexpected change to our schedule AND needed an on-call vet. The staff was spectacular on both accounts.
