    Disappointing

The place has deteriorated a great deal in the three years since we last stayed there. Paint in the ancient glacier-speed elevators is chipped and cracked. A nicely designed breakfast hours sign has been altered (to reduce the hours) with a magic marker. Upholstery in the lobby/breakfast room is worn and shows white stuffing. The beautiful grassy courtyard that used to have poop bags and trash canisters for dogs is now off-limits to dogs!

An unpleasant night manager told me dismissively that guests can walk their dogs out on the neighborhood sidewalks if they want. My window was prevented from opening more than a couple of inches. My door lock worked intermittently and the personnel blamed me (“It worked fine when I tried it.”) There was no soap in the bathroom. Room cleaning takes place only if you order it. Breakfasts are minimal. For example, they serve hard-boiled eggs and sausage but no scrambled eggs or other meats. They do have waffle machines but no orange juice.

I understand this property and La Quinta in general is under new management. Throughout it reeks of cost-cutting. Overall I would not call this place particularly dog friendly, nor would I say its amenities and quality justifies a nearly $250 price (including tax). It might seem better in the summer when the rates go down.

    Not the best

Now I know this chain of hotels is budget but I have stayed in much better La Quinta inns locations. The grounds were dirty and full of cigarette butts and doggie doody, garbage cans outside were overflowing and there were no doggy bags available for others (I brought my own). If I stay in the area again, I’ll pay a little more for a cleaner place.

The rooms were really modern and clean. The front desk staff were beyond helpful. Lots of local tips, and friendly suggestions.

    Very Rude!!

I booked this through BringFido for Saturday night. When we arrived the rude lady at the counter said that there was no reservation. I then asked if there is a room available. She then told me the reservation is for Sunday night and that I since I booked with Expedia I would have to change it with them. I told her I did not book with Expedia and I just need a room tonight. She continued to insist I used Expedia. We ended up having to drive straight home to California after driving in from near the New Mexico border.

    Clean, friendly staff

The hotel was clean with large updated rooms. Small grassy are near front for potty breaks. Only complaint was breakfast was supposed to be from 7-9. Went down at 815 and was told they had ran out. All that was available was granola bars. 🙁

Really Great Location & Dogs Loved It Too🐶💜

Pleasantly surprised with a beautiful room the second I opened my door. Also the employees were so helpful, kind & humorous lol.
It was really nice to see how many people had their dogs traveling with them.
Really nice & would definitely stay there again anytime I’m in that area.

    Would not stay again

First off, the staff was great, very friendly. That was about the only thing that we liked about the hotel. When we arrived, they wanted us to sign something stating that only dogs under 70 pounds were allowed, but no where on their website (or here on bring Fido) does it state a weight limit. They allowed us to stay anyway because our dog has been in training for months. The back door to get into the hotel did not work 95% of the time, so we had to walk around the hotel and the rooms smelled very overpoweringly of air freshener. Although there were bags and signs posted everywhere, people were not picking up after their dogs and there must not be someone that does the job at the hotel. All in all, the only reason I gave them 2 bones was for the sake of friendly staff.

    Spacious Room

We really enjoyed the spacious room and entry way which our dog loved--it was cooler than the carpet to lay on. Not a large area on hotel grounds to walk dog especially since it was 115 degrees but down a block there was grass.

    Very nice

We stayed here while visiting family in Phoenix on March 5. The room was very clean and we were able to take our dogs for a nice walk.

There was no additional fee for the dogs, and that’s always a bonus.

The bed was a little hard, and I could hear my neighbors talking in the room next door.

Otherwise, it was a nice, safe place to stay.

    Great stay

Elevator was slow, but everything else about the experience was great. Quiet, comfortable, and my dog was welcomed, not just tolerated. Would stay again. And it's super close to my favorite breakfast place: TC Eggington on alma school road.

    Awesome place

Plenty of pet areas! Big parking lot. Elevator is a little slow for when you are in a hurry. Stayed a second night, got a bottom floor , so much easier

    Wonderful Suite

The suite was spacious and the separation for humans and dogs between living room and bedroom was worth the few extra $.

Neighborhood was easy to walk the dogs after dusk.

    Very Nice

This was the perfect place for me, my husband and two dogs to stay. We were in a suite with lots of space. The room was very clean and the staff were all very kind. We will stay here again when visiting.

    Great Location for Activities

My black Lab and I were here for two nights in June 2018. Good size room, very clean, close to the back elevator for those necessary trips. Poop bag dispenser right outside the door. The hotel is a couple blocks from Fiesta Mall, plenty of restaurants like Red Lobster and Longhorn Steakhouse. Dutch Bros Coffee even offers a tasty Puppicino.
