Reviews
- BrianMar 5, 2024Solid stay
Decided on last minute stay in Sedona for one night and found this spot on BringFido. Didn't know what to expect as seems like reviews were mixed (on Google maps too). Either loved it or not. But at $215/night all in, I set expectations accordingly. I will say if one is looking for a high end resort then you'll be disappointed. If you're used to Best Western or similar then you'll get an upgrade.
Yes, resort is a bit old and outdated but room was very clean and spacious. Had the usual amenities and king size bed was comfortable. We had a room in the 400-500 area but facing the inner courtyard as opposed to parking lot. If we had room that faced parking lot probably would have been less than impressed.
But for $215 in Sedona ended up being a solid one night stay. Don't think though that I would return if was longer than a 2 night stay. Front counter staff were very pleasant helpful and check-in and checkout was a breeze. A solid 4 stars/bones all around.
- CorinaMar 2, 2023So disappointed
My partner wanted to go to Sedona for his birthday, and our dog is over 55 pounds, so we had limited options. Our dog was not given a dog bowl, like the other reviewers. We also walked into a pitch dark room that didn’t have a light nearby, so we had to fumble around until we found a lamp. The phones didn’t work. We couldn’t eat in the restaurant or order room service until 8 pm, due to an event that night. The room was old and not very nice. The one positive was that the bed was comfortable. We ended up checking out the next day. We will not be back.
- Mary AnnFeb 24, 2023Upgraded rooms
We would recommend you upgrade your room from the standard/regular. Asked and was granted another room as the first one was so dark- zero natural light as the window faced a wall. New room was still in the regular section but at least sunlight hit the window. A lot of money for the room plus add-ons made this an expensive stay. Other dog owners did not pick up even though the property had bags and garbage container. This is not a reflection of Poco Diablo but clearly they didn’t monitor that area either. No breakfast and it took hours both days to get onto Wifi even though they charge $30 plus taxes as a resort fee to cover this. This section has connecting rooms but that just meant you heard every word the next room said and every dog bark. Place has lots of potential just don’t get a room in the 400-500 unit area.
- JeffFeb 18, 2023Zero Hospitality!
No bowl for our dog. Dark dilapidated room with new dog floor. On our arrival day denied in-room dining as well as service in dining room. Room phone completely worthless; busy signal when picked up failed to answer phones when I called from my cell.
- KathyFeb 6, 2023Gorgeous property!
King bedroom was huge with a walk up jacuzzi style tub in main room as well as a full bathroom. Doggie area was literally outside the door. Wish there had been a breakfast included. Good hotel restaurant but not walking distance to any others. But impressive property and scenery.
- BarbaraJan 19, 2023Excellent location
Very dog friendly. Easy access to hiking trails and paved walkways. Dog relief area on the grounds. The dog friendly room was much nicer than what most hotels offer. This is a place that I would definitely come back to and would consider spending a week here using this as a home base for exploring the Sedona area. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 is the lack of a fenced dog exercise area. I understand they are under new ownership with expansions and improvements being made, perhaps they will consider fencing in the dog area.
- ElizabethJan 4, 2023Excellent
Very accommodating, friendly staff. Even helped us out and allowed our little pack of three stay. Great pet area and overall beautiful accommodations.
- SarahDec 28, 2022Very pet friendly
Very pet friendly, lovely lawn area right outside the rooms with LOTS of room for the pets to run.
- AnnaDec 27, 2022Fantastic
This place is amazing! The people are great and the room was awesome! Watch out for hidden fees though! It comes as a bit of a shock at checkout.
- JoséeOct 22, 2022Wonderful stay
We weren’t planning on staying in an hotel in Sedona but we had an issue with our camper so here we are. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. We ended up ordering room service for 2 meals and were tremendously happy, delicious food. We had a child and 2 dogs (medium and large). Highly recommended.
- AustinOct 4, 2022Great for dogs
Great resort for pups.
- CathySep 21, 2022Definitely dog friendly!
Very friendly staff from check-in to check-out. Stay came with a dog bag that included a water bowl, treats and tennis ball. Resort was easy to find, room was spacious, nicely updated and clean. Would stay here again.
- ToyannaJul 17, 2022Great location
Very dog friendly resort, lots of grass. Dogs welcome on restaurant patio.
- JulieJun 12, 2022Very run down
Areas of the property were being renovated so were not available. This should have been reflected in the room rate but was not. Our room was pretty ramshackle. On the bright side, the entire staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. The pet area was quite nice as well.
- JamesJun 11, 2022Great grounds and staff
Room was not great. Clean but dark. Area rugs were small bath mats. They are renovating which might make things better in the future.
- CherylJun 9, 2022Very pup friendly
Everyone was so nice to my dogs. Clean rooms, lots of room outside for my pups to explore.
- TeriJun 7, 2022Awesome stay
Love the lawn. The coffee in the room wasn’t very good though, a minor suggestion.
- DavidMay 3, 2022Dog friendly and EV chargers too
Lobby and dinning are being remodeled but it was still a great place. It has 4 level 2 car chargers.
- LindaMar 17, 2022Nice front desk
Very outdated and very overpriced. Nothing special. Treat your pups nice though.
- JaneMar 15, 2022Nice but overpriced
Nice room but the resort is “tired”. Pet fee plus resort fee and high priced for a room. Nice area for walking dog was “empty”. Plus was the ability to leave dog in room to go to dinner. We brought a kennel.
- JacquelineFeb 19, 2022We felt very secure
I was happy to hear the maid will not come in the room with pets unannounced. That made us feel safe. A fun gift bag with cookies for our pup upon check in. And great grassy pet areas and beautiful rock firepit area for mom and her wine. Was perfect
- DanielSep 29, 2021Great place to stay
The receptionists were very nice; they even got treats for my dog. Room was clean, nice view of the mountain behind the restaurant. Will stay again if I go back to Sedona.
- WendyJul 5, 2021Poco Diablo Resort Was Dogtastic!
Poco Diablo Resort warmly welcomed myself, my daughter, and her dog, from the outset. They had a wonderful bag of treats and other things for her and a cute backpack with water, snacks and a few other things for us. The dog area was attractive and clean. The restaurant, with its doggy menu, was great with our pet. When we explained she has a sensitive tummy, they left all seasoning out of her meal. I plan to rerun with my husband and stay here because the resort was beautiful, spacious, quiet and wonderfully located.
- AngelaJun 21, 2021Great location
I highly recommend this place. Very pet friendly, front desk staff are very friendly, great restaurant my daughter and i are vegetarians and have gluten allergies they have good food choices and the homeade gluten free breakfast bread was delicious! I had a patio room overlooking the golf course amazing views of the red rock mountains beautiful grounds and exceptionally clean. Everything was amazing was so sad to have to leave looking forward to coming back soon!
- JaneMar 28, 2021Great location
Close to town but out of the crazy Sedona traffic. Great trail nearby.
- JessicaOct 26, 2020Tiny Golf Course!
Everyone was super nice and it is very dog friendly. The restaurant/bar allows dogs on the patio which was a plus and there is a good size dog friendly area. We chose this hotel based on reviews from this site and were surprised to find ourselves on a tiny golf course upon arrival. Spent 3 days hiking and off-roading with the pup and still managed to get in a quick round of tiny golf. Great place!
- JenniferAug 12, 2020Great dog friendly room on golf course
Wonderful stay! Room was clean and patio led to golf course. Super dog friendly and accommodating! Great food at on-site dog friendly restaurant as well!
- KristisApr 27, 2020Great for furry babies
Nice green space for kiddos, they have a deposit for poo bags but don't have the actual bags....owners, pick up your dogs poo! The restaurant and staff was amazing, the dogs had their own menu and highly recommend meatballs. Room was clean. Can't wait to bring them again!
- ThomasFeb 18, 2020We Loved Poco Diablo
There are limited pet rooms but this discretion creates for a very clean environment. We took care to pick up after our dog to maintain the pristine environment. Beautiful resort in easy driving distance to town or trails. Dogs are welcome at the patio restaurant and fire pit area. Dogs are provided a welcome bag that includes a ball, dog treats and collapsible water dish. Dogs also have multiple menu items available at the outdoor restaurant! Human dining is also excellent. Dogs must be well behaved and leashed. Rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We did a coast to coast trip and this stop was a highlight. All in all, a great experience. We will be back!
- Carole annFeb 1, 2019Loved It
Very lovely resort and very friendly period. They gave us a doggie welcome bag on arrival. It was a little cool out but they set a table outside on the patio for us so we could have lunch with our pup. They room was huge and the resort property is beautiful. Would definitely go back!
