The good: the owners are lovely and were welcoming to my large-ish dog despite their pet policy saying they only accept small pets. Also, the shower had great water pressure and there is Dish tv in the room. They do offer coffee in the AM, but no breakfast. The not-so-good: the place is simply run down and the cleanliness level is questionable at best. The room we stayed in (two double beds) was too small for two adults, there was a previous guest's food in the fridge, the random assortment of furniture looked like it came from a thrift shop, the noisy AC unit was about 8 inches from one of the beds (right at head level), and you can hear freight trains passing by on the railroad across the street all night long. There are more rooms than parking spots and there is no place on the premises to potty your dog, so you have to walk him/her on the sidewalk along Route 66 or somewhere else in town, which after dark might be dicey. All this would be ok for one night if the room hadn't cost over $100 (after tax and pet fee). For that price, you can probably do better elsewhere.

Health & Safety
Safe Stay: The Postcard Motel has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
